you dont need millions of pounds to send a letter to the appropriate places you need one letter copied to the all the local authorities

The FRA is the FA of robot combat is about time we started acting like it

We can act like the FA with the resorces we have because our sport is small enough to control with what we have

I'm sorry I dont think the FRA is a Failure but I do think it has failings
I would be willing to pay my FRA membership if I thought the FRA was going to make progress on matters such as this, and I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is, If the FRA permits I will produce this letter and deliver it to the local authourities
the letter would need to be approved by the committee but I'm willing if the FRA is

You do realise there are 486 local authorities in the UK if you miss out Northen Ireland you could whittle that down a little.

indeed I do Ian thats just the local authorities not including the school governing bodies and the universities which we should also target

Quite simply the FRA - or rather the members of the Governing Body do not have the resources in time to look up the names and addresses of all 486 local authorities and every university or technical college in this country plus any particular contact person - let alone the cost of postage (for example 2nd class post at 30p x 500 letters = £150), then there is paper, envelopes, printing ink, time, time and time.

Email? - OK we need the time to find all the addresses - time, time and time.

I don't know about everyone else but I am already working a 12 hour day, looking after my family, sometimes I find the time to eat properly and if there's any time left I may sleep a little.

Why it hasn't been done before? Why can't it be done now - right now! Well, some of us have lives!

Working out the cost of postage to every council in Great Britain and Northern Ireland strikes me as quite random to be honest

...on a serious note, I'm sure somebody in the FRA will have enough time to look up all the necessary email addresses and pass them on to Craig or whoever does the letters - it needn't be done all in one go, the effort is surely worth it to make the organisation known to the authorities. I'd be willing to offer my ample free time even, although I'm not an FRA member at this present time (joining in the summer hopefully)

There used to be a lot more posts on here at the beginning of the thread before they were 'disposed' of, most iekly because the thread was becoming huuuuuuge and on the old forum the number of archive pages was well in the range of 100 or more.

But before they were cleared up I went to the beginning of the thread to see who started it and to see some of the random things that started it off, and I seem to recall the thread was Gary's creation. So he's responsible for all this random madness
