John, the direction of the flipper is purely the in the perception of the onlooker. After all who wants to run away without some protection but having said that, yes, we are hoping this one will drive better forward.
Ed, we would have liked to have got it finnished quicker but (heres the serious bit) all three team members are on the committee for the Cancer Research UK Relay for Life Sheppey which is being held on the weekend of the 9th & 10th May and so we are at the moment finding it hard to find the time to build the robot. After May we will be able to put more time in, hence the aim to get it ready for the summer events. (Hmm... now this seems a good point to put in a quick request) So if anyone out there would like to help out in any way that weekend, be it as a volunteer or a participant please drop me a line.
