It reminded me of that old silent film clip of the umbrella plane jumping up and down and shaking to bits. Anyone travelling in that thing would probably need an industrial size & strength sickbag

The cameraman had worse shakes than the pilot I bet.

I always enjoy the ornithopter project. I think they might actually get it stable in a couple of years. They have made incredible progress during the last couple of years.

i have to wonder what possible use that could have. the only advantage i can see is a lack of engine noise, but then it must have an engine for the hydraulics?

The RAF started just after WW I.
I dont think Geoff was young enough to be in the RAF.
