Got myself an expensive but relatively cheap for what it is R2D2.

Needs some bling, sounds, and making RC but that shouldnt be a problem.

Ill post some pics once its finished

Really love that design I would like to have a 1:1 model of the R2D2 but they cost too much!! Let us know how the project gose I know I am not the only one interested in this build.

It's a robot I really wanted but they are £££, stuff comes up on eBay sometimes suitable for your project. When I went to memrobilia with robots live their we're some amazing ones their, the custom built lights you can buy are awesome and authentic, they were using controllers that came from a Xbox or ps3, dunno how but it was on 2.4g

Wireless PS3 and xBox controllers connect to the console via a 2.4Ghz FHSS connection, no conversion needed ady. just need to get it to pair with something other than a console and make code to interpret the signal from the controller, though you can probably find that online.

While I was at Eurogamer last year I bumped into Oliver Steeples (Of RW fame) who was driving around an RC R2-D2.
They had a whole Star Wars thing going on that week due to the release of Knights of the Old Republic.
