Random Question about Barnsley

Hi

I'm looking to come and watch the fights at Barnsley Metrodome on 24th Feb. I know it'll probably be a case of turning up and paying to get in to watch etc. I really wanted to get to the pits to talk to some of you face to face etc, how do I go about doing this whilst only being a spectator? Or am I either a spectator or an entrant etc?

just come as an entrant, that way you get to watch the fights up close, and get to chat to all the lovely people in the pits.

Pay for the pit tour like everybody else, you cheeky *** LOL

Traditionally mention to someone you're on this forum, username vital.
Not the presenter (busy). They bring you over the line, you report your presence to the staff for insurance purposes.

You should then have pit freedom. Don't interrupt anybody with their hands on parts, touch anything you're not given permission & don't eat too much from the buffet.

Yeah well I don't wana interrupt anyone, hassle anyone etc. My own robot is 80% finished and I'm ready to enter some stuff over the summer but before I do we wanted to come to a couple of events. I honestly don't mind paying for anything, and know full well I'm going as a spectator. People on here have been extraordinarily helpful so that I can get finished, it's just all a bit scary turning up cold turkey to an event with robot under one arm and toolbox under another. To try and just get a feel for how it runs and stuff I just wanted to come and see one.

I'll come along as a spectator and take it from there lol.

Edit: The old man was a race mechanic so I'm used to behaving in pits lol. I used to get regularly shouted at as a kid for sitting in the cars of other teams.

@Ellis I think that only applies to All You Can Eat buffets unfortunately.
