Whenever I go to roaming robots or robots live events i get a little bored of flipper v flipper if you know what i mean. it would be nice to see some more variety in weapons (eg axe, or crusher). i know there are a couple of axes, but at the minute it's very likely there will be at least one flipper robot in each fight which will toss all of the others out. which is what makes fights these days so boring.

Re: Flipper Robots
Marler....I have been doing our new website for ages. had to build Air for the champs...Used the drive from full tilt in that..so i will eventually get round to getting it finished...also got to tie it in with the factory where i get the chassis cad built. I estimate the second half of 2013 i will drop back on it. lots of other exciting projects to build first.

Re: Flipper Robots
The problem with no gap is that a reliable rambot has the greatest advantage, they just bounce around the arena untill the other person breaks, they have this arena type in America and they've all evolved to boxes, and has less vereation than the uk.
I think a vearation of arenas could be used to created a wider range of robots, as different types would excel in different arenas so more veration would be created.
If there ever was a no flip out arena in the uk you would probably have to have a mandatory weapon rule (but with rambots over a peticular speed, as then they can be argued to be classed as a full body hammer, excluded from the weapon rule)

Re: Flipper Robots
i agree about the flipper point, im building a heavy and not a flipper but i also realise that with an axe or lift scoop you chances of winning are much lower as you will possibly be the only non flipper in the arena,
but who cares about winning ?
