me and my friend (oscar) are thinking of our robot to have a spinner. are we allowed to do this or would we have to do something else

Only RoboChallenge have an arena that can take spinners (and it's only big enough for FWs) and they bring it out only a couple of times a year, one of those occasions is the UK FW Champs.

Crusher? Lifter? Something like this?

Be creative.

Also, if you want to build a spinner, on the continent there are 2 arena's that allow feather spinners.

There are lots of other robot types...

Twack bots, control bots, spear bots, crushers, lifters, rammers, wedges, axes...

I imagine he means something like Complete Control, so it grabs you with a claw or similar, then lifts you up to carry you around the arena.

Yeah that was Vertigo. Looked great but I can't remember seeing vids of the whole mechanism in action, besides a test video. Saw it once in the arena but it only had the lifter. Went to Harry after that and the surviving bits are now part of Murphy's Law.

I know its unoriginal but i want a nice simple powerful robot going and its the most common
