  • Question about new drill motors

I have 2 new drills to make k9 4wd, same drills as I have fitted already, but when I stripped the drils down, these new drills have resistors fitted and a wire running from one terminal to other, as my other 2 drills don't have this, should I remove them, or won't it effect the 4 of them running together

Re: Question about new drill motors

The resistors are there to help reduce electromagnetic interference (If I remember correctly) generated by the motor.
As far as I know, keeping them on will have a very minimal effect on their performance.
Cutting them off wont effect the motors either but might mean you have receiver problems. But if you are already running 2 motors without EM suppression then its unlikely to matter.

And part of me thinks that they are not resistors but something else? I cant remember...

Hopefully this is of some use...

      Are they not capacitors?

Those are capacitors. To reduce the sparking on the brushes when running or reversing thus reducing radio interference although this isn't an issue with 2.4ghz. Leave them in place as they will do no harm to your system.
