  • DOS games on windows7

Having a clearout a while back and came across some old DOS games that I used to play years ago. They were fun games but never had the computing power to do them justice, now I have the computing power windows7 spits them out as unworthy.

Any computer whizzes out there know of a simple remedy? tried the usual run in previous format, but they are previous to the run in previous formats.....

The only thing a quick google search yields is Dosbox, more Dosbox, and even more Dosbox. This seems to be the thing to use if needing to run Dos games on Windows 7. :P

Would get an X-box Swanny, but that would mean telling Pat she could not watch Coro, Enders, home and away......etc.....

Dosbox and similar programs were always good when i was on PC, being on a Mac makes it slightly more complex. Fortunately the Broken Sword games were brought out on Mac! Very chuffed about that, but to answer your question, yes go for Dosbox.

For Mac, you can always try Boxer http://boxerapp.com/. Its basically an OS X version of DOSBox.
