A heavyweight spinner would require stupid amounts of any material to contain it. The walls on the old arena were clearly not up to the job and spinners these days are probably a good bit more meaty than they were back in the day. Any idea what the original walls were made of? Some sort of bullet proof glass no doubt.
The outside walls (the big ones that stopped robots being flipped into the audience) where made of very thin material, I'm not sure exactly sure what material it was, but I know it was only a few mm's thick. The inside walls (around the very edge of the arena)where a lot thicker though.

From my sources, the audience panels were 1/4 inch macralon.
Roughly the same as the robots live arena. To be fair, it was pretty good for 4 & extreme but evolution of war & all.
