Power supplies in series

Has anyone tried combining power supplies (or more specifically PC power supplies) in series as per this example? Looking for the cheapest way to a 24V supply! Thanks

Approx 30A at 24V. Perhaps two of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alpine-600W-Quiet ... 621wt_1139 or similar

I found that most laptop PSU's have a voltage rating above what chargers take!
