Sorry for being here but it doesn't fit anywhere else.
I plan on building a pneumatic CO2 flipper for a feather weight (don't worry it will be an unusual design, no wedge for me.) but I figure I out to do a small scale test first. With beetle weights being reasonable popular I figure why not.

Just to be clear the ram wouldn't be positioned like that in the final robot it is just their to illustrate the linkage.
I figure a double action cylinder so I can return it quickly. I also think that seeing as an axe is more about speed of it that I will not need a large diameter but a reasonably long stroke would be help full.
What I cannot figure is what size tank I should use. And I know it has been asked a thousand times but.
Is it tank>Fill valve>Isolation valve>Dump valve>Cylinder valve thingys>Ram/actuator?
With suitable piping to prevent it from freezing.
