Ok, time for another topic debate.

For 2008, what did people think of the amount of events.

There has been IMHO a good spread of events this year all over the UK, and roboteers have been able to choose which ones they attend.

We havent struggled for robots this year, and there are even a few new ones on the scene these days which is very encouraging !!

So.. 2009.... How many do we think we should have. We have two heavy weight event organisors, each having a considerable amount for 2008.

I dont know about RL, but here in the RR camp we are on a steam train which is growing and growing in speed. Ticket sales have been excellent due to new advertising methods and shear hard work, and 2009 looks promising already with the new format and other stuff!!

Id dearly love our 2009 tour to include one heavyweight event per callender month, of course with RL it means there may be two in a month, weve coped this year. ( Ive even been able to attand a couple of RL this year and had a lot of fun, and left wanting more )

Of course there is a limit, and things can go too far.

Personally for me, Id like as a roboteer to attend one event per month minimum, but thats just me !!

i dnt mind the amount n will just try to get to as many as possible! even if there in america, spain, holland, england, scotland, ireland, wales, france, australia etccc

however my diesel bill will be costing my dad alot lol

Those venues look ok Geoff but all my savings were in Icelandic banks so I might struggle to attend them all.

i think 1 a month minimum is good for 2 day events but i think it would be nice to put on a few 1 day events every other month aswell or whenever is best for u

Once a month usually works for me. Will try to get to more events in 2009.
Did not attend many events in 2008 but I was doing my final year at uni.
Shame that the remaining dates of 2008 really clash for me apart from chester.
Nottingham is on the same date my sister comes up and maidstone is just that little bit too far down south.

I have a friend who works for Williams (we did our engineering apprenticeship together) he reckons Singapore and or Japan will be night races
Also a race in the mud in 2010 at Donnington

I think i will only be able to make about 6 events next year but the more dates the more chance i can squeez another event in.
For me distance is a problem but if the event is near a main motorway then i can just about get the 50 year old van there and back!

Thats what I like. Proper consultation. Ask everyones opinion, consider the results and then do exactly what you were going to do anyway.
