Oh well. Its always better to prolong an event to work out all the bells and whistles and other stuff than have a hasty and rather mundane show.

              Battlebots return?!

The Battlebot Rule set is out.

              http://www.battlebots.com/downloads/BB_Building_Rules_Pro_College.pdfhttp://www.battlebots.com/downloads/...ro_College.pdf

              NOTE THE PNEUMATIC RULES.

Custom-made or custom-modified pneumatic components may be used in a BattleBots pneumatic system.
The Entrant is required to supply data sheets and/or computations and/or certified hydrotesting results to prove that the custom component is properly designed and built to have a burst pressure that is 300% of the maximum pressure that the component will be subjected to during operation.
Custom-made pressure storage tanks are specifically not allowed, as specified in €œ7.3.1 STORAGE TANK RATINGS€.

Also note that the Battlebots Tech Checker has a reputation for being very very strict.

Any H.P. pneumatic Bots intending to go should perhaps try for pre-approval of their system.

I would love to see Beta work. That hammer would squash a few yanks. Teach them to make too many flat thwackbots

                        Battlebots return?!

Those considering going over will also need to meet the following requirements ...I dont believe any of our bots currently meet these specs

                        4.2.3 ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION CONDITIONS
To minimize risk to personnel, the Activation and Deactivation sequences
                        +1>cannot require:
                        a. More than one person to perform each sequence.
                        b. A person to place any body part in the path of any weapon system or any other powered part
of a BattleBot that can cause injury.
                        c. A person to place any body part inside the external frame or shell of a BattleBot.
                        d. A person or a BattleBot to balance or be balanced in any unstable position.
                        e. The installation or removal of any panels, covers or fasteners from a BattleBot, other than the
                        Safety Covers and Restraints.
                        4.2.4 ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION TOOLS
Special tools may be used for Activation and Deactivation subject to the following:
                        a. A maximum of two tools or devices can be used for the Activation and Deactivation.
                        b. Any tool is required to have an identical backup spare.

Big Nipper would pass those specs, cant think of many more.

                              Storm meets the specs.

I think Storm requires the removal of the fastener that secures the hatch on the rear that covers the link... or has it changed?

THz might pass... depends exactly how you interpret inside the external frame - it has an open top, so inside/outside is not clear cut.
beta will be a similar arrangement.

It seems that the rules have been written round the normal way of doing it in the US - inserting an allen key or similar through a hole in the armour to turn an internal switch.
