does anyone have experiance of the 10amp dual sabertooth, i am having problems with it. when i use the 10amp dual with 2 x 9.6v drills,12 volt pack and a spektrum their is a delay of a second or 2 when pressing forward, reverse left or right. it seems to be when you go from one direction to another quickly. my dip settings a 1 down the rest up, my 25a does not do this at all, i thought the 10a can handle 2 9.6v drills ok?

Is there a option of calibrating on a Sabretooth? On an Scorpion that would be my first place to look.
It sounds a bit like when you have the slew rate of a ESC way down so your speed controller takes a while to ramp up. So if the slew rate is too low, it will take some time for it to send enough power to the motors.

The power needed to accelerate 12kgs of bot around the Arena at a competative speed of 8 mphish is I guess going to be around 360 watts peak....
Your running 12 volts so youll perhaps be pulling around 30 amps PEAK.
The maths say that youd pull 1/2 the amps ( 15 amps ) with suitable drill motors geared for the same speed running on 24v.

Im guessing the 360W will effectively halve in value for each part of the clusterbot seeing as its only half the weight, so its only likely to need 180W (maybe 200W?) to accelerate each half of the cluster - hence at 12V youre looking at pulling approx 15A per channel. I wouldve thought the current limit for a 10A channel speedo would be higher, although admittedly Im not the most clued-up person about this sort of stuff
