Yeah power tool drag racing is getting more popular, but they really need to start building a protective box (ie. polycarbonate) around those drag tracks and have proper thick rubber end stops.

More strange goings on from across the pond!

Silverline sponsored the UK power tool drag racing earlier this year, James won, Ian lewis second, and mine third. Fastest time acheived on the day was 1.7 seconds, and it was great fun. The owner of silverlne built a petrol powered go-kart using 8 chainsaws

        but the competition was fierce.
the other competitors that james and ian had to beat are listed below.

john reid (not allowed to run as his wheels would damage the track)

        darcy lewis (ians daughter.)

        competiton at the cutting edge

sorry, had to dont take offence, im just winding you up

in all seriousness though, i was going to go as its an awesome idea, and ill certainly do everything i can to be at the next one. i got as far as building a dragster, so if there is any interest maybe we could invite robogeddon to run another event, id be happy to host it at my april event?

thinking about it, that last post was very naughty of me actually, i know im not supposed to tease people on here, as i dont like it myself, so i appologise and hope nobody take me seriously, it was a joke.

take me seriously? hey, when did people ever do that?

James - john was allowed to run his, and he did. But the traction he gained from using thse milling cutters was too much and kept snapping all his belts!
There were quite a few other teams that attended, and alot of them very good although the competiion was varied as no-one knew what o aim for. Next time will be different
Darcie was in the un-modified class
I think there are descusions about the net one, i think around summer time.
