    Battle bot help needed

thwackbot.... a very simple way to make a powerful electric axe without spending money on a 3 channel radio.

lifter, panic attack, biohazzard, 2 very good lifters. the descriptions in the name. they lift.

If you intend making a combat robot, and want FRA members help, could I suggest you at least consider reading our build rules? Its a little insulting to be asked to give you all the answers when many are available simply by reading our information and guides. We wrote them to help people get into robot combat in a safe way, so if we are going to be spending all this time answering vague questions, at least put some effort in yourself and read the stuff people spent time writing.

no offense, just trying to guide you down the right path for most enjoyment.

agreed with jamess first point. Thwack bots are easy to make and depending on how you have it can be very effective and put on a good show. We use both types for our kits. the normal horizontal hammers for spinning on the spot and then the vertical one which given the correct balence and wheel size, when the machine accelerates forward the bot will flip over stinger style. Quite impressive.

Here is an example of both an horizontal Twackbot, called Bonx, and a vertical one called Debiel. There is a dutch word joke in the latter name, but im not explaining it. The Axe on Debiel works on the idea that you slam the robot from one direction into the other, flipping over the axe.
