Hi everyone, have a Hotpoint WMA61 washing machine going on the cheap. All mechanics work, only the electronic board that has gone bust. Might be good for scavenging parts off of seen as it has a 1600rpm motor somewhere inside. Any offers welcome!

It is possible, and has probably been done, but you can rewind motors to different voltages and speeds. Its very time consuming but can give you a very powerful motor that might fit a unique design of robot or allow you to build something more compact. I will say though that this is a VERY out there idea. Unless you have a real reason to do it, its probably not worth it.

May not be much use for robotics, but hardwire it and have some fun with it

Or you could do this -

Haha great suggestions guys, Goliath is more than welcome to it if he wants to pick it up, although word on the street is the new shunt has a thing for destroying washing machinesIf no one wants it it will be going down the dump next week, but by the sounds of it, it was a lot more useful washing laundry than destroying other robots
