  • HW on eBay

Not sure if it's been put on here already but found this for sale in Crewe

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ro...3D231355092983

Looks in pretty bad shape but someone might be interested.

        correct

Doesn't look in that bad condition. Swap out those heavy SLAs for A123s or lipos and I'm sure it would go most of the way to bringing it into weight. Could be a useful base for someone.

Will people judge me if I admit to having been bidding on this for a while? lol

No, of course not. If it's cheap enough for you get it, upgrade it and it will be s good start point into heavyweights. But it won't be competitive.

Nah I know it won't be competitive lol I love rennovating old stuff. I'm a week and a half away from giving the OK to the fabricators to start on a heavy chassis, but if I win this I won't bother. I don't really remember it from the telly series tbh but it looks cool anyway.

Alas...I've been outbid past the cost of my own design of heavy chassis lol. It's getting expensive quick and I've just realised I don't even know what drive train there is, if anythings rotten etc. Have decided to call it a day with this one.

I guess it's a case of whether you want to start with a clean slate or not. I think the most valuable stuff here will be the motors, I don't think it's well known enough to put up with working inside those restrictions already set - personally I'd spend a bit more and design a brand new heavy from scratch but it's all personal choice I guess!

Also, fun fact - I believe this entire machine is now at around the same price the Chaos 2 flipper cover went for the other week...

Went to the fabricators today and paid for a heavyweight chassis, pick it up in about 3 weeks or so. Now need a drive train lol.
