Evening all,
I'm selling my old invertible featherweight which has the following specs:
THE FOLLOWING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE SO WILL BE REQUIRED FOR OPERATION: ESCs, RADIO GEAR + BEC, BATTERY, CHARGER AND METAL SPIKES SEEN IN PHOTO (these will be replaced with m12 button bolts and aren't necessary for use)
* 20mm thick HDPE side armours which have a shoulder so the armour can fit in nicely and was machined by Kenny, 15mm thick HDPE front and rear cross section sections, a small HDPE rear wedge, 5mm mild steel front wedge which was cut, bent and welded by a local company, 5mm thick polycarb top and bottom armour. The armour currently contains the mount for the battery, which was a 22.2v 4800mah Lipo. All is held together with various sized wood screws.
*5mm thick mild steel motor mounts designed by myself and machined by Kenny, which act as both the mounts and chassis braces
*Two replica Speed 900 motors with MOD 1 12 tooth pinions welded to the motor shafts. MOD 1 90 tooth spur gears bolted to the 25mm thick HDPE wheels with bicycle tyre tread. M12 axle bolts thread into the motor mounts and is supported on the other side by the frame/armour. There are bearings in the wheels and spur gears. To take the play out from between the bearings and axles, i used sticky labels which seems to have worked well! The gears came from and were modified by Technobots and the wheels were made my a local company.
*Fully loaded weight at the moment is around the 12.5-13kg range (cant remember exactly). The spikes which arent included are 1kg themselves so plenty of opportunity to improve as the new owner sees fit.
*power led is a 24v green LED strip, looks pretty good in a dark arena through the polycarb!
*Spare motors and welded pinion gears (think i have two more motor/ gear sets, will have to double check).
*Will also throw in the old 4x replica speed 900 powered HDPE frame. If it was ever to be used, would need completing first. Side panels and gear protectors were machined by Kenny. Wheels (which are a different diameter to the black robot, still 25mm wide) were created by Technobots. Is basically a mixture of 20mm, 12mm and 5mm HDPE.
I live near Dartford in Kent so im happy for the new owner to collect. At this time, I can't commit to any of the events (hoping this will change very soon).
Ive probably missed out loads of details but if you have any questions, please PM me and I will do my best to answer them. I will include all the design paperwork i have for both bots for future use in the sale.
I dont wish to split it all and considering the amount of professionally machined parts, serious offers only please.
