They've probably gone quite rusty as it says they have been used as garden ornaments. It could be quite difficult to get rid of any rust that has occurd, it depends how much there is.

Or you could condsider there are three shells there, probably two usable so why not pool resources with someone, buy them and share them. You'd have to be mental to have more than one heavy anyway.
