  • Featherweight Drill Motor Gear

    Hello

My feather has stripped one of the teeth on the small sun gears in a 14.4V drill motor, the gear attached to the plate with the three pins that hold the plastic planetary gears. I think there were from argos a few years ago. If anyone has an old gear/gearbox arround that they are willing to sell to replace it. I would rather replace it for a few £s rather than replace the whole motor.

EDIT: Sorry thread should be in wanted section

    Re: Featherweight Drill Motor Gear

    Hi Andy,

I've got a fair few bits and pieces from umpteen dismantled drill motor gearboxes and I'm certain I have several of the plates with the pins and sun gears. But some are different diameters and have larger or smaller pins than the others.

Can you post a picture of the piece? Or let me know the diameter, pin size and sun gear tooth count of yours and I can see if I've got a suitable one?

Outer diameter is 26mm, 3 posts are 3mm diameter and spaced 17mm apart. Middle gear has 9 teeth.

Just checked, and I've got a couple spare here. PM me your address and I'll stick them in the post for you.
