Terrible Judgement on that one. From a design point of view Stinger had it won before it entered. There was no way for Panic attack to get any offense or defence on it.
Personally Id have given it to Kim Davies on Control. He dominated that fight by pushing Stinger about just about anywhere it ending up. Stinger had no chance to show its driving skills any point in the fight.
Mind you it was a season of dodgy decisions.
The Morgue vs. Firestorm and Wheely Big Cheese Vs. Suicidal Tendencies are the first to spring to mind.

Season 4 was awful. It seemed that just about EVERY show was fixed, first to make Chaos 2 lose, and then, once that failed, make Chaos 2 win. I mean, look at these moments.
Firestorm 2 vs Bolt From The Blue
Sheesh. How did Firestorm win when all it did was drive up BFTBs wedge all the time? Its obvious they just want a rematch between it and Chaos 2.
Firestorm 2 vs The Morgue
Not as contraversial, seeing as Morgue was losing anyway, but still questionable.
Geminis Heat
Surely Heat F should have been Wild Things heat? That was what was suggested via the seeding list. But it wasnt. Why? Because they obviously wanted Gemini to fight Chaos 2 ASAP. The fact it back-fired completly serves them right.
Wheely Big Cheese vs Prizephita MK2 vs Wheelosaurus.
Those judges are blind. Prizephita was NOT immobilized for ANY length of time. It was being CORNERED by the House Robots, which made sure that Wheely Big Cheese would win, even though it should have lost.
Wheely Big Cheese vs Suicidal Tendencies.
Again, the judges realise Suicidal Tendencies wont beat Chaos 2, Wheely Big Cheese HAS to win. That the only excuse for ST losing due to a technicality they had had last year but theyd won with.
Chaos 2 vs Steg 2.
The dumbest draw possible! Steg 2 was, for me, the ONLY robot in that group of 8 who didnt have a chance of beating Chaos 2, and the producers knew it! They just HAD to make Chaos 2 look good.
Wheely Big Cheese vs Tornado.
They obviously wanted Wheely Big Cheese to fight Tornado as revenge for Gemini. Well, TOUGH! It was Tornado fighting as revenge for Suicidal Tendencies, and it worked.
Chaos 2 vs Tornado.
Now the producers realise that there is only one way of Chaos 2 going through to the Grand Final, and that is throwing it against the injured Tornado. The other two are too dangerous.
Panic Attack vs Stinger.
Its obviously so that Chaos 2 gets to fight Stinger, whod be much more dangerous, and even if it DID survive, itd have to go against Hypno-disc. In the worst decition since T2 vs Darke Destroyer, Panic Attack were robbed.
THE WHOLE GRAND FINAL
HAH! Thats all I have to say. Even if the decition between Chaos 2 and Stinger was questionable, Stinger deserved it. And its obvious Chaos 2 won because, after Hypno-disc was beaten, the whole concept had been ruined, and Chaos 2 would just beat Pussycat and win the title again. And it did.
This is how I saw it. Nothing but a pathetic attempt to get Chaos 2 to lose the crown. But Chaos 2 won the day, deservably so, and it SERVES THE SMELLY PRODUCERS RIGHT!

Only on face and points in the judges eyes.
What made it worthy of the list is that counting down at the time. I only counted the Morgue Immobilised for 20 secs before Firestorm 2 hit the pit. And then Craig says the Judges have deemed it immobile - 10 seconds too early.
Another dull battle for Firestorm 2, scraping through by the skin of their teeth. It was obvious they were gonna lose the semi.
Wheely Big Cheese vs Prizephita MK2 vs Wheelosaurus.
Dont ask me the logic in this - all 3 ended up in the pit, but WBC was the only robot not put in there by a house robot. It should have lost that fight.
Wheely Big Cheese vs Suicidal Tendencies.
This echoes Morgue vs Firstorm except ST hadnt lost face or judges points!. One loses half their drive on the pitside and the seed drives themselves in the pit. Im guessing the producers are trying not to lose face!!!
Summary: Possibly the Dodgiest season ever, rigged from start to end in the name of TV.

That reminds me about the seeding for series 4. Suicidal Tendencies were seeded 32th, after getting knocked out in the heat A final of series 3, but Stinger who drove in the pit in heat A round 1 was 30th seed. I found this so damn strange.

Chris, I find your logic a little strange. You say they were trying to rob Chaos 2, and then when it was obvious that wasnt happening they gave it easy draws, right?
Well, why then, according to your logic, do they give Chaos 2 easy/wounded draws in the semi final if theyre trying to rob it, then give them tougher draws in the final? Also, if the master plan was going ahead, Chaos 2 would have been facing Gemini or WBC.
Also, Tornado wasnt exactly wounded prey... In the first fight. Due to arena damage and then a draw, that fight was restarted twice.

Very interesting views here... although for me Series 5 had to be the worst of the lot.
Never thought about any battles leading up to Chaos 2 winning the title in S4, but the grand final seemed very iffy to me. How exactly did the judges make out Chaos 2 caused equal/more damage than Pussycat in the S4 final? I also thought Stinger had the better of Chaos 2.
But then again Ive always thought Robot Wars was fixed in some way or another.

I think (well, I did at the time) they must have gave up once both Wheely Big Cheese and Gemini had been disposed of, and tried to get Chaos 2 to the final where it COULD have fought Hypno-Disc. I think, after the potential of Chaos 2 vs Gemini and Chaos 2 vs Wheely Big Cheese went out of the window, they HAD to get it to the Grand Final, and thus go for Chaos 2 vs Hypno-Disc. Of course, thanks to Pussycat, that back-fired, thus we got a nice, fair fight to end a cruddy Season. I say its fair because Pussycat (to me) had a whole heap more problems than Chaos 2 did at the end of the fight.
WHY they didnt just throw Wheely Big Cheese in with Chaos 2 immediatly is beyond me. But I could never help but think that, possibly, they didnt like Tornado at the time, and were trying to make it lose. Or maybe they were just trying to make WBC look better after it (wrongly) made it to the semis.
Whatever the case, I still cant help but think that Season 4 was a very problematic season with too many dumb decitions.

The Series 5 match-up between Chaos 2 and Smidsy (when they called for the match to be restarted) I thought was a bit suspect to favourable judging on Chaos 2s behalf. After beaching Simdsy against the arena wall Chaos 2 flipped itself over and cracked the polycarb panels on the flipper in such a way that it couldnt self right again. Now the way I saw it was that Chaos 2 ran out of gas and was immobile but Smidsy was still moving its jaws and running its wheels. Surely if they had been against another robot that wasnt Chaos 2, Refbot would have dislodged them from the arena wall to allow them to carry on fighting? It just seemed to me as if the makers didnt want yet to see Chaos 2 put out of the competition.
I havent got anything agaisnt Chaos 2 by the way, I think its a great machine - I just think this battle should have had a different outcome.

Neither do I, but I think that fight was perfectly fair. In fact, I dont think it SHOULD have gone to the rematch.
The way I saw it, Chaos 2 had beaten S.M.I.D.S.Y. It had flipped it against the arena wall, and the cyber-bot had been stuck on said wall for at least 10 odd seconds before the former champion made its oopsie. Regardless, both were still mobile (spinning wheels, firing weapons to try and unblock themselves), but not in the right way.
If there is a robot that gets away with too much, Id have to say that it is Dominator 2. You remember the fight it had with Hypno-disc? The boring one? Well, Dominator was clearly moving on one wheel only. This meant that the fight should have ended, Dominator SHOULD have been counted out and so on and so forth.
Other robots get counted out if its clear they dont have full mobility. Yet Dominator gets away with it...TWICE!
