Yeah, just checked it, it should have been on the horse.
Although, come to think of it, dragging you across the fields towards the pasture in order to catch the horses first before a ride is really exiting when done in the middle of a moonless night.
Or more precisely on a moonless winter morning, which Ive done often enough in the past... ever tried to catch 20 horses out in the field who dont want to get caught ? And half of them having shed their halters one way or another so you have nohting to attach the lead-rope at ? And then try to sort out with just 1 flashlight which of them is Lucky or Falonne, who are both brown with the same white sock ? Not to mention the completely dark-brown Vagabond, Melodie and Galejade who are experts at blending in with the dark trees bordering the pastures ? Ever tried to find Edelweiss and Cibolet -both grey/white- in the snow ? I mean: you call out their names and they watch what youve got in your hands... if its a bunch of ropes they will uniformly ignore and evade you, if it is a piece of dry bread or -even better- a bucket with picotins they will converge on you... all of them. No matter whose name you call.
During daytime they are much friendlier.
Been there today, snow is gone, and the horses are happy: they have found grass again and that is still tastier than hay.
