    Champion of the Champions 2005

I have been thinking what I should do after NSTT and it came to me, another series of champion of the champions, where all the champions from 2005 heavyweight fan fictions will come together to determine who will walk away with the large cup.

Please if you do not want to be included as a champion, please say and I will use the runner-up from that competition.

    The Champions
    € From After-Burn 2 - Tengu
€ From Vapourbot Champion€™s League 2004 - No Close Shave
€ From Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Wedge Devolution
€ From Vapourbot Grand Championship 2004 - Tempest
€ From NSTT - Automatic Schmuck
    € From NSBFL 7 - MORD

Ok, I know I have missed a couple of champions from the minor tournaments.

    Rules of updating
I know some people have updated their robots since the final when out, and so the general rule of updating is that the robot replacing the champion must be from the same series or be similar (for example Tengu 7 replacing Tengu, but not Slammer replacing Tengu)

    Format
6-way league, every robot fights each other once and once only, everybody gets 5 fights. 3 points for a win; 1 point if you lose via JD; 0 points if you lose via KO or TKO. The arena will be the AWTAS2 arena.

    Damage
All damage will be assumed to have been repaired from each round

    House Robots
No Hope is gone, and replacing No Hope is a carefully selected bunch of house robots who will take it in terms to play Mr House Robot. These are Shovearound 2 and Scorpion Bite 2.

    Deadline
I need confirmation of stats from each of the 6 vapourbots taking part, either using this thread or using msn messenger.

    Good Luck

PTT4 finished in 2004, and Scottishly Fictional was included in the 2004 champion of champions. I would have included it here, but talking to Scott, he says he has lost all interest in fanfics, and so prob wont enter anymore, and I cant really use the runner-up.

                Champion of the Champions 2005

Here are stats for both MORDs - use MORD2 if you think its similar enough, and MORD1 if you think it isnt.

                M.O.R.D (MASTER OF ROBOT DESTRUCTION)
                Weight: 98kg
Shape: Its body is a box tilted at an angle because the front wheels are larger than the rear ones - its like Intraverter from Robotica if youve ever seen that, or Backlash with wheels instead of claws holding it up. On the sides are extra plates giving the wheels some side protection. At the front is the flywheel, and in front of the flywheel is the scoop, operated by rods going into the robot.
                Dimensions: 100 x 40 x 15/45 (lowest/highest)
                Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to scoop, 200mm behind scoop on either side of flywheel, 50mm under flywheel, 1mm-5mm at sides, 0 at back due to skirt, 1mm behind skirt
                Turning Circle: 0
Armour: Body, scoop and wheel guards are 4mm titanium, with holes drilled into body armour to reduce weight
Wheels: 4, inside robot, stick out the top so the robot can run inverted. The front wheels have no motors - they are turned by cords attached to the back wheels, like a skid steer system. Because the front wheels are larger than the rear ones to tilt the robot up, they have a high ground clearance at the front, so plates are welded onto the robots sides to protect them and lower the ground clearance.
                Power: 36V battery and motors
Weapon: At the front is a electrically powered titanium scoop which operates through 180 degrees, so it can work when the robot is upside down. Behind the scoop is a 10kg vertical spinning flywheel, spinning at 2000rpm and able to cut into 3mm titanium, which comes into play if the scoop is lifted.
Srimech: Invertable; screws tapped into sides keep it from resting there
Tactics: Shove opponents with the scoop, then lift the scoop and attack with the flywheel
Strengths: Fast and manouverable; powerful flywheel
Weaknesses: Hard to control; can be flipped from sides

                M.O.R.D2
                Weight: 110kg
Shape: Box, with sides that slant outwards from the top and bottom edges to form triangles, like Tornados rear (hopefully this will lower the effectiveness of spinners)
                Dimensions: 90 x 32 x 35
                Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plow, 0 at sides and rear due to skirts, which are fixed to the points of the triangles and can work either way up
Armour: Body is 4mm Hardox; scoop is 4mm titanium; skirts are 3mm titanium
                Movement: Camshafts like Drillzilla
                Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapons: At the front is an electrically powered scoop which operates through 180 degrees, so it can work when the robot is inverted. Behind the scoop is a 20kg spinning drum with 8 titanium teeth on it, spinning at 2000rpm and hopefully able to flip robots as well as damage them. The drum comes into play if the scoop is lifted.
Srimech: Invertable; triangles at sides and rear prevent it resting there
Tactics: Shove opponents with the scoop; then lift the scoop and attack with the drum
Strengths: Fast; good traction; powerful drum
Weaknesses: Less manouverable than wheeled robots

I also resent FFW being classed as a minor.

                    Especially compared with After Burn.

Well, Alex won FFW2 [I think] and FFW3 never really finished, and it would be kind of unfair for Alex to have TWO robots when most everyone else has about one.

You can use No Close Shave 2 or No Close Shave 3 if you like, here are the stats for No Close Shave 3.

                          No Close Shave 3

                          Weight: 100 kg
Weapon: A pair of horizontal claws at the front, similar to those of Kan-Opener, made of 4mm Hardox, running at 1500 PSI
Can It Self-Right: Its now invertible
                          Movement: 2 Wheels
                          Shape: Hexagon-shaped
                          Armour: 6mm Titanium/Vanadium
                          Speed: 13 mph
                          Power: LEM130 powered at 36 V
                          Turning Circle: 0m
Ground Clearence: 0mm at front and 5mm at sides and rear
Summary: Totally new and different version from No Close Shave 2, which was similar to Razer.
Strengths: Great Weapon, Good Manouverability, Invertible
Weakness: Not the Lowest of Ground Clearences
