American Influence: Naturally Assumed Destruction
Welcome to the third series of American Influence. This time I have re-written the rules for it, to save confusion. Last time saw Lunar Thunder, thunder past Shovearound 2 on a 45.5/44.5 joint decision. Hopefully the new stat layout will try to prevent two robots with nearly the same stats meeting.
This season has the major difference, that you have to enter 1 heavyweight and 1 middleweight.
Please enter using the following stat layout:
Your Name:
Country (and area if possible):
Team Name:
----------------------
Robots Name:
Class (HW or MW):
Weapons:
Points (35 to be spilt out between all areas)
Speed:
Torque:
Weapon:
Armour (Chassis and armour):
Non-chassis durability (Weapons, motors, wheels etc):
Picture Link:
Summary: (Anything else that isn€™t in the picture, i.e. wheels)
Multiple Weapon rule
If you have multiple saws for example powered by one motor, then they all receive the full weapon power. However, if you have a front lifter and a rear drum, each becomes less powerful. The formula is simple:
Weapon Power - # of different weapons = weapon power for each.
Weapon
The higher the points for the weapon stat, means the more powerful your weapon is, in terms of actual power and the speed, so the stat goes up, the speed increases and also does the power.
Armour
This stat says how tough your armour is, the armour toughness is also the same toughness of your chassis. All armour is assumed to be removable unless stated in the stats. If the opponents€™ weapon is higher than your armour stat, you can be damaged, and the bin-bags are located by the door on the way in.
Non-Chassis Durability (Weapons, Wedges, Skirts, motors, wheels etc
This stat is used to prevent €œMobile Weapon€ robots being used, say a shell spinner being it€™s armour, a robot with wedges all around the outside adding 2 to the armour. The increased points allows this to be put in place. In terms of a spinner, if you hit a robot with higher armour than your weapon, and this stat is lower than your weapon stat, then the weapon has a chance of breaking. This rule also affects other weapons, so I advise you to make this stat equal or greater than your weapon stat.
Speed
The higher this stat, the faster you will go. However the faster you are, the control goes down. So it€™s a paradox, too fast and lose control, too slow, gain control, but be on the danger of getting to the sides
Torque
This is the pushing power of your machine. If your torque beats the other person€™s torque in a standard arena, than you will out-push them. The torque is the same for 2 wheel drive machines as it is for 8 wheel drive machines. However, if pushed from the side on a normal drive, than even infinity torque won€™t stop you. Say you have a 4WD box, and a wedge gets under you, lifting the front 2 wheels, you will have half-torque.
Clusterbots/Multibots
Clusterbots/Multibots are allowed to be used; however, they do not each receive the full amount of points available for single robots (worked to the same ratio as ARCA). The points for each are:
2-way - 28 points each
3-way - 24 points each
4-way - 20 points each
All parts will be assumed to be uniform unless otherwise stated in stats.
A Clusterbot is determined to be out when 75% of it isn€™t moving.
Passive Weapons
Due to a confusion last war, passive weapons are allowed. If its a ramming item (Spike) it will have the power equal to the speed (say a 10 speed robot with a spike can make holes in 9 and below armour). If its a wedge is used, it will have the same points as the non-chassis durability. Skirts can be gotten underneath If and Only If the wedge robot has higher non-chassis durability than the skirted robot.
Number of entries
The number is unlimited, but I need 8. If the final figure is odd or doesnt fit into one of the brackets on darters.com, then there will be some byes. One entry per class, if you get caught entering twice, you will be kicked out, straight away, with a message afterwards; I will be checking IP addresses (you reading this Kody?)
Role Plays and the forfeit rule
Role Plays are needed because the robots need to be driven, even if you have the ultimate machine, but have no driver, than how is it supposed to fight? This war isn€™t always about the machines; it€™s also about the drivers. A good driver makes the champion, the robot comes second.
However this war, I am changing the no RP = automatic forfeit rule into something more user friendly. The rule is now if you don€™t RP before the deadline, but you haven€™t been seen on the ARC/FRA/FAR forums, your RP will be written by the writer of that fight and the fight will continue. This is to protect the people who by mystery have disappeared (i.e. they computer is down, ill etc). However if you are seen to be logged onto the forum (and posting a message), and don€™t RP, you will forfeit. I normally follow the deadlines, but I will lock the thread when the fight is written if it€™s a forfeit. Role-plays are posted in this board - http://s9.invisionfree.com/Ai_NAD_board/index.php?showforum=1http://s9.invisionfree.com/Ai_NAD_bo...hp?showforum=1
Any other information
Its a double knockout this time round, and all fights will be done in the AWTAS Arena, Stats can be found here - http://s9.invisionfree.com/Ai_NAD_board/index.php?showtopic=2&st=0#entry66157http://s9.invisionfree.com/Ai_NAD_bo...t=0#entry66157
