          2 rounds in one day

No your not losing your head, I€™m making up lost ground

          Round 2

Flaming Hell (7) vs. Storm 2

Both these robots cruised though an easy round 1, so it€™s a classic case of the spinner against the anti-spinner.

          3
          2
          1
          ACTIVE

Storm 2 once more shows the world what real acceleration is like, and accelerates from rest to turn around the sliding door to meet Flaming Hell, which is running away from Storm 2 to get it€™s spinning cage up to speed. Storm 2 manages to catch up with the spinner and rams into it, taking the initial blow well, as Richard drives forward, pushing Flaming Hell into the wall. The spinner bounces away then runs away to get it€™s cage up to speed.

Once more Storm 2 isn€™t giving the spinner any time to get it€™s cage up to a speed which is enough to do any damage to Storm 2. Richard doesn€™t have time to waste, as he has coursework to do for his A2s, and so rams into Flaming Hell, bouncing the spinner away when the claws hit the front wedge, the spike fires, as Flaming Hell is put onto it€™s side. Storm 2 turns and drives straight at Flaming Hell, as the low arena wall is getting near, Flaming Hell self-rights as it hits the arena wall.

Flaming Hell bounces away, a tad damaged from the impact and runs. Once more, Storm 2 plays cat and mouse and gives chase to Flaming Hell, not allowing Dave€™s machine to get up to speed, and so another slam, as Storm 2 is taking the straight line towards the arena hammer, the hammer gets ready to fire, and fires, hitting into the top of Flaming Hell, as the platform shakes with the impact, as Flaming Hell is flipped over by Storm 2€™s lifting arm.

Another self-right from the 7th seed, as it is finding life hard against the world champion; Dave finds the gap and runs for it. However Storm 2 turns and gets underneath Flaming Hell once more from the rear and rams straight into the fence, firing the lifter at the last minute. Flaming Hell balances on the fence before coming down on the wrong side of a heat final.

Storm 2 makes it 2 OOTA€™s, as Flaming Out crashes out.

          Fight 2
          X-Terminator (26) vs. PRP

Again, two easy round 1 fight for the two spinners here today, who will fight the right to play Storm in the heat D final?

          3
          2
          1
          ACTIVE

Both robots have the same speed, and so both are waiting to allow their weapons up to speed. X-Terminator makes the first move and starts to drive away, in reverse to prevent a sneaky attack from PRP, reversing into the arena, as PRP starts to move forward to meet the foe, to try and attack the sides. Matt M drives forward and both robots meet.

The vertical disc hits the front off PRP before the bar can hit X-Terminator, the extra force sends PRP into a mad gyro-dance, as the bar tries to keep level, X-Terminator rams into PRP and gets the first blood, as PRP lands onto it€™s back. Quick as a flash, the self-righting arms come out self-right PRP, when X-Terminator has opened the pit release. PRP is crossing the arena to meet X-Terminator, but Matt turns the real robot around on it€™s 4 wheel drive chassis to face PRP with the vertical disc still spinning. The bar is up to break-neck speeds as it tries to attack the sides of X-Terminator, but Matt M dodges the attack and both weapons hit again. X-Terminator gets the first hit in, as the bar takes a slice out of the front armour. PRP is flipped once more onto it€™s back.

Matt self-rights PRP once more, but X-Terminator drives into it before PRP can run away to get it€™s bar up to speed once more and so causes another flip, as the disc can€™t rip Hardox, and so PRP is onto it€™s back for the 3rd time and for the 3rd time, PRP self-rights, and this time runs away from X-terminator, which has only minor damage to the body work. Matt is thinking and drives off towards the arena spike. The other Matt sees what the other Matt is doing and decides to avoid the arena spike, as X-Terminator drives away from PRP to head towards the wall. PRP comes towards X-Terminator, but at the last moment, Matt turns around and both robots face front to front once more, as The driver of PRP tries to dodge X-Terminator€™s disc, but X-Terminator turns before bar meets armour, and manages to hit the side full on with the disc, another piece of armour flies off X-Terminator€™s front, as PRP once more goes into the funky monkey dance, X-Terminator rams into it once more, turning the bar spinner over. Who needs a flipper when you have a vertical disc is heard being sounded out throughout the arena, as PRP once more self-rights to show the world the first ever bar spinner self-righting protection system.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the bar of PRP is bent, only slightly, bent upwards at the end, could this be the damage in terms of the judges, as PRP runs away once more to get a clear shot at the real robot€™s side. Matt turns around to meet the foe, but this time the damage is done to the chassis, as X-Terminator is spun away, keeping upright, no more damage is done to it, but PRP has started to lift. X-Terminator turns and comes back onto the attack, full out war, as Matt against Matt, these two were at each others necks earlier in the week, and so who will be the winner here today?

X-Terminator hits into the spinning bar itself with the disc. The disc of X-Terminator has gone, the chain has broken, but what damage is done to PRP, as it self-rights once more. Look at that bar, bent upwards, with a crack in the metal itself. X-Terminator quickly turns into pusher and rams into the front of PRP, not getting underneath the skirts, but the broken disc stops the bar as X-Terminator pushes PRP backwards. There is something from the control booths that the bar has indeed stopped working, the last collision has put PRP on a short course to losing the fight.

Only 1 minute is left, as PRP manages to get clear of X-Terminator, hoping that the extra damage will swing the battle in his favour. X-Terminator gives chase to PRP, but both are about the same speed, but the acceleration of X-Terminators puts it in the league of rammers. PRP turns to avoid the spike, as X-Terminator does the same. The skirted machine has no weapons, so it€™s got to hope that the skirts stand up to X-Terminator€™s front scoop, and the power from the twin lynch machine. He€™s got wheels of steel, as PRP turns once more, avoiding the open pit, which X-Terminator opened in the first minute, as it€™s a game of cat and mouse, and this time, the cat isn€™t catching the mouse, as PRP crosses the arena once more. X-Terminator forwards PRP, at least it€™s avoiding the spike. PRP turns, as X-Terminator slams straight into the side of PRP, X-Terminator isn€™t giving up hope, as the hammer comes down, hitting the bar down, the force breaks the bar off where the crack is.

          Cease

In a close battle, too close for the judge€™s to call, it will go to a full judge€™s system in the out of 75 system made famous by Far 8.

          The Pits
The judges are looking at both robots for damage, as it€™s the key factor in this fight, and discover than PRP has cracked the drive shaft that it could break. The damage on X-terminator is minor, but still could prove with the two front armour panels missing and a scar in the exposed chassis, the major damage is the chain which fell off.

          X-Terminator
Aggression - (9/15) (The bit at the end of the fight gave the extra point)
Control - (8/15) (Nothing to separate the robots out in control, but the judges award the advantage to X-T)
Damage Caused - (6/15) (Bent bar)
          Style - (6/15)
Strategy - (8/15) - Kept away from bar

          PRP
          Aggression - (6/15)
          Control - (7/15)
Damage Caused - (9/15) (Two pieces of armour and chain)
          Style - (9/15) (Self-rights were very stylist)
          Strategy - (7/15)

          Total
          X-Terminator - (37/75)
          PRP - (38/75)

It€™s very close, but the damaged caused swings the fight towards PRP, which wins a 38-37 decision.

Result: X-Terminator puts up a good fight, but PRP scrapes into the heat final by the thinnest of margins.

            Yes please

            Tactics:

As much as Im nowhere near as confident as I was about the last fight, I still think I can win.

I dont think that Storm 2 will get underneath the skirts, so the idea will be to shunt underneath the back with my skirts, drag him up and smash off the failsafe pad with the bar. Then Ill keep hitting there until I knock it ou.

I also doubt Storm 2 will breach the skirts, as it doesnt have a 0 MM front. However, that doesnt mean it cant shove PRP around. Sorry Matty, but I think Storm 2 to go through.

                      ROUND 3
Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint VS Storm 2

Powerpoints blade seems a bit too tall to make any effect on Storm and unless the skirts can prove lower and drag it up enough into the spinner, I think the RW World Champll be slamming it around the Warzone until the Pit beckons

                        Heat D Final

It€™s been a long time coming, forever delayed by the downloading of bootlegs, but finally it is here, the fight to decide who goes forward to the semi finals.

                        Storm 2 vs. PRP

Storm 2 got here by slamming 2 Blue into the arena hammer and into X-Terminator before making Matt€™s robot spin out of the arena. In round 2, it did the same with 7th seed Flaming Hell, hit, hit and hit it again not giving the spinner any chance in spinning up before Flaming Hell joins the rankings on the camera tracks.

PRP had an easy round 1 in which it did nothing. Flaming Hell took out 2 of the clusterbot, whereas another part took out the final part and the 75% rule came into force. In round 2, a very close decision put PRP ahead of X-Terminator by 1 point to be here today.

                        3
                        2
                        1
                        ACTIVE

Richard flicks on the power of Storm 2 as it storms away from the starting line, PRP is spinning it€™s bar up to speed, a new bar for a new fight after the old bar got torn apart. PRP is trying to keep close to the sliding door as possible as Storm 2 turns the corner, reversing a bit to get the best speed, as PRP starts to move away from the door which has slide back into the wall for another day.

Matt is waiting for the attack from Storm 2, as the all-to familiar sound sounds, as the pit drops to show the black hole of misfortune, while my guitar gently weeps, I look at the floor, and I see my guitar gently weeping, meanwhile, back to the fight and a minute has pasted without much action. Storm 2 is driving around to wait for the right time to attack. Matt is whistling as he sits still spinning the bar around at 75% of full speed, any faster for a long time and the heat generated from the motor is enough to burn the electrics.

Storm 2 suddenly turns and comes onto the attack, slamming into PRP at full speed, the skirt has cope with the attack well, but PRP is being pushed into the wall, as the bar hits the top of Storm 2, as a panel is removed from the front, as Storm 2 slams PRP into the arena wall at some speed that the wall shakes under impact. That can€™t have been good for PRP, and look at the bar, the first to take the impact and it has bent under the pressure. Surly PRP can€™t come back from here?

Storm 2 turns and rams into PRP and flips PRP over onto it€™s top, a quick self-right from Matt€™s machine, as Storm 2 gets ready to slam PRP across the arena, looking for the arena wall. PRP is pushed onto the spike. PRP is onto it€™s back, as Storm 2 carries on with the attack, and manages to pit PRP, as it self-rights down the open void.

                        Cease

Result: PRP hit, hit, and pitted, Storm 2 storms though to the semi finals.

Son of Ripper 4 (2) vs. Glasgow Kiss vs. Raven the 3rd

Stop press, due to the problem of numberous accounts, the following heat will be played in place of E:
                        Heat F

                            ROUND 1

Probably the RW champion to fall here after being rammed about and immobilized

                            2) CHAOS 2 VS N.S.B.F.R. X (24) VS Windiest Killer
Eep. Guess this depends on Franks set-up, but throughout, the basic plan is to stick to the sides of either bot and try to get one out of the ring. Failing that, open Pit and try to flip em in.

This is how you treat your electronic elders? Bah!

Spinning bar job. Much as I love Chaos 2 for its innovation, its weak armour and relative unreliability under punnishment make it the ideal target.

Tenderizers Revenge will ram Typhoon 2 with its wedge if it comes close, and try to slow it and overturn it, and if Jaws of Hell attacks, I will try to stay out of the pincers which it probably has and go for its sides unless theres a weapon there.
