Aaron: Its be lager for me

Beer is teh DeViL! Drink Spirits! Its much better for you

    Rum/Scotch drinker myself

    Comment

    • The Norman Sheppard Tribute Tournament

Aaron, the reason why I drink lager is because its way cheaper around here than spirits (£4 for 125 ml on average)

Besides, when might I expect Generator to generate into this thread?

Fighting, arguments, handbag swinging has all occurred, maybe someone has stolen Andy€™s coffee or maybe people are annoyed, but it is time for the heat C final, delayed due to a misunderstanding in round 2.

      Heat Final
Biohazard vs. Clawdius Decimus Murderous (1)

In round 1, Biohazard pushed Lunch Box against the fence so that Scott couldn€™t self-right and remain in the arena. In round 2, Chris pulled something out and managed to force Intensity against the arena wall, where it couldn€™t self-right.

Clawdius Decimus Murderess€™s round 1 couldn€™t have been so bad, but after a 26-25-24 decision, Riptile crashed out. In round 2, Steve proved why Clawdius Decimus Murderous is the champion by pitting Starfire the 3rd.

      1
      ACTIVE

Clawdius Decimus Murderous moves forward, as Steve is looking forward to a fight with the 3-times Battlebots champion, where as Chris wasn€™t going to show up for this match, but he is here, and drives forward, in defence mode. Clawdius Decimus Murderous turns at the last second, fooling Chris, who turns the wrong direction, as Clawdius Decimus Murderess€™s Razer style wedge manages to get underneath the skirts of Biohazard, before the crusher comes down onto the top, but the top armour restand the pressure, as Steve is pushing Biohazard sideways, what€™s the use of mass power when your going sideways?

Chris turns, but Biohazard is pushed into the arena hammer, which has been fixed from round 1, as it comes down onto the top of Biohazard, the hammer retracts and hits again, but this time, hitting Clawdius Decimus Murderous, and coming away. Steve lets Biohazard free, to run away to spin around and ram into the sides of Clawdius Decimus Murderous, but doesn€™t get underneath, as Clawdius Decimus Murderous turns, getting underneath once more, and pushing Biohazard towards the arena spike. Chris is trying to use the power, but the wheels are off the ground, as Clawdius Decimus Murderous holds Biohazard over the spike, and the spike fires, sending Biohazard upwards, a quick ram from Clawdius Decimus Murderous sees the battlebots champion on it€™s side, held up by the crusher, as Steve drives over the pit, dropping Biohazard onto it€™s top. It€™s all over for Chris, as Biohazard is sitting on the pit, as Clawdius Decimus Murderous drives over and opens the pit. Ref has started to count Biohazard out, but it is too late, as Biohazard disappears down the pit in smoke.

      Cease

Biohazard flipped and pitted. The champion doesn€™t go out, as Clawdius Decimus Murderous moves onto round 4.

      Next time, Heat D.

          Decision:
I have decided to give Aaron and Tom more time to get Generator ready, and have so decided to do another heat swap, swapping heat L with heat D.

          Therefore, New Heat D lineup:
Flaming Hell (7) vs. Splitz vs. PRP
          X-Terminator (26) vs. 2blue vs. Storm 2

            X-Terminator (26) vs. 2blue vs. Storm 2

Oh boy! What an awful draw! My only chance is to team up with Storm 2 and while he smashes up X Terminator, 2blue will try to flip him over and immobilise him.

              1) Flaming Hell (7) VS Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint VS Splitz
Splitz to split as one by one, the little uns fall foul of the heftier spinners

              2) 2blue VS Storm 2 VS X-Terminator (26)
2blue to end up a right Blue Meanie as the RW World Champ bludgeons it to death

                X-Terminators Tactics:
Sorry Matt, Im gonna go straight after your machine and your 3mm Grade 5 Titanium should make a nice light snack for my disc, go for the sides of 2Blue, team up with Storm 2 as well, it can push 2Blue straight into my disc, let Storm 2 put 2Blue once in the pit once Ive finished tearing 2Blue to shreds, well not shreds, but think of what XT did to BB in RW7, thats what exactly what my plan is, with some help from Storm 2.

Dave, if by resetting your password you mean retrieving it, I cant do that because itll send the password to an e-mail that I dont have anymore, so that wont work.

BTW, Good idea with changing the tactics, it gives me a good chance to think them over.

                        Tactics:

Spin the bar up, run around and smack into everything. Splits is preferable, but if unable to, go after Flaming Hell.

                        Just destroy basically

                            Heat D here we come

                            Heat D

                            Round 1

                            Fight 1

All this confusion, nothing the same to me.

From London, the 7th seed, Flaming Hell. The cage spinner is back after causing shock after shock in the last war, where it came 8th. The 20 kg cage, powered by the vapourbot standard motor, the Lem 130. The drive is a couple of the real robots standard motor, the Bosch 750. The power of the cage can knock others out, but it does bounce after impact, could this be the downfall?
In Far 8: Managed a run without meeting a seed, beat Not Another Pushover 2, The Deer, After-Math 1.5 and Slammer 3, before coming unstuck against Clawdius, and being flipped out by Gravity in the 5th place playoff.

From America, the 4-way clusterbot, Splitz. Entered by Clover, this rare robot is four mini Zippos, but the major weakness is that none can self-right, and I have a feeling the method of reconnecting them up is very elementary. Each have enough power to do damage, but the low ground clearance could see them self-fly when hitting a robot 4 times their own size. Could Splitz spilt?
                            In Far 8: Didn€™t enter

From England, PRP. Entered by Matt F, this bar spinner cladded skirt machine hopes to do damage with the bar spinner. Matt has worked out a way to self-right the beast, but when flipped, the bar might be damaged against the arena floor. The skirts are strong enough to cope with most wedges, but what€™s the point in skirts when you get pushed onto the spike? In addition, a low machine will not get hit by the bar because it is 35 cm off the ground.
                            In Far 8: Didn€™t enter

All 6 robots are in the arena as the squares have never been so full.

                            3
                            2
                            1
                            Active

At once, Splitz spilt up, going forward, as there is no where else to go, as the other two spinners are getting their spinners up to speed, as the battle of the spinners begin. Flaming Hell starts to roll, forward and out of the starting blocks, followed by PRP, as all 6 robots are in the arena. 10 seconds has past, and the sliding doors slide backwards into the fence, as Flaming Hell makes the first attack onto S2. PRP is looking for the top of S1 with it€™s bar, S3 and S4 are spinning away in the background before coming in at full power, as the bar of PRP misses the top of S1, as S3 hit into the rear skirt, causing sparks to fly, as S3 spins away, straight into S4.

S3 is spilt, the spinner broken, as one piece is counted out by Ref. Flaming Hell hits into S2 with the cage, and takes that part of the cluster out, but the cage hits the ground and flips Flaming Hell over. Dave in a moment of panic self-rights Flaming Hell to meet the two remaining clusters, S1 and S4. S4 is moving forward, spinning at full power, but still 12 and a half kg of spinning metal against Flaming Hell. Both robots hit head on, as both robots are spun out. Flaming Hell hitting into the arena wall, as S4 spins away, PRP slams into it, and flips S4 over onto it€™s side. S1 comes in for one last attack, but it is too late for that, as Ref is slowly counting out S4. Flaming Hell moves slowly forward, but something is wrong with the 7th seed, as smoke starts to pour from the cage motor. Out in the open, look at the cage, the impact has bent it, jamming it on the body.

                            Cease

Result: With 75% of the clusterbot out, Splitz is out. However Flaming Hell needs to do some work with a hammer and find a new motor. PRP looks impressive at this stage.

                            Fight 2

From England, the 26th seed, X-Terminator. Entered by Matt M, this real robot with a lethal vertical spinning disc has already hurt many of a robot. All Lem 130 powered this machine, when the disc fails, the drive system will kick you into effect. However the self-righter only works when X-Terminator is put onto it€™s side, and the armour isn€™t that strong, although the chassis is very strong.
In Far 8: Beat Moby Brick with ease, but caused outrage when it beat Son of Ripper in round 2, before redrawing allowing the Son to go forward and claim 2nd place.

From England, Current Robot Wars World Champion, Storm 2. Entered by Richard, this robot which set the standard for others to follow has 6WD, 18 horsepower. The armour is strong, and the arm is a good weapon. However once upside down, Storm could find it hard to work it€™s wedge. It has come unstuck against spinners in the past, but the control from the Tornado style speed controllers make use of the full 25 mph, virtually in your face power. However control could be a problem on the steel arena surface.
In Far 8: Favourite to win the heat, but crashed out in round 1, when Pinser pitted it.

From England (yes, once more), 2 Blue. Entered by Matt, this doubled ended flipping machine could flip for England in the world cup. It has tracks giving it the edge over the others with added traction. However the armour could prove to be deadly, as the weight has gone into making two Chaos 2 style flippers. Would this pay off with duel attack mode? Or will the experts be right and say that 2 Blue, might be made homeless?
                            In Far 8: Didn€™t enter

The 3 robots are in the arena, both robot wars series 7 grand finalists line up for attack, as 2 Blue is sitting in the outside corner near the hammer

                            3
                            2
                            1
                            ACTIVE

Without leaving a mark, Storm 2 is away, this is real power boys and girls, as Richard wearing sunglasses turns the world champion around and heads towards 2Blue. X-Terminator has started rolling forward, it is slow, but the disc speaks for itself, as 2 Blue is looking worried as it drives forward. Storm 2 gets the first hit into 2Blue, and forces it backwards into the arena wall at full power. X-Terminator starts to roll, turning, as the doors slide away for another day. 2 Blue is being pinned by Storm 2, as X-Terminator hits the side with the disc flipping 2 Blue over, the side armour, what side armour as the panel comes down to earth sliced in half the bolts didn€™t stand a hope.

2 Blue self-rights, only to be rammed into the arena hammer at full speed by Storm 2, the hammer comes down, hitting the top of 2 Blue hard that a dent appears. X-terminator comes in once more, and hits into the side once more, flipping 2 Blue over, as the track gets ripped away from 2 Blue as the hammer comes down once more. Matt pulls back on X-Terminator, as 2 Blue is laid to rest, being pushed across the arena by Storm 2, slamming it into the pit wall. 2 Blue sails clean over the fence, and lands on the camera track. X-Terminator opens the pit, as Storm 2 goes down the pit, Richard didn€™t move in time.

                            Cease

Result: 2 Blue took 2 hits to knock itself out, now it is lying on the 2 tracks, with only 1 track. X-Terminator and Storm 2 move forward onto round 2.

                            Round 2 Draw

Flaming Hell (7) vs. Storm 2
                            X-Terminator (26) vs. PRP

Tactics, predictions, did you like round 1?

The idea will be to use X-Temrinators height to my advantage. If I slam into the side of him, then the armour should break, as its not the toughest, and with any luck, it may even go ove ronto its back. The idea will be to run around and slam into them repeatedly until theres nothing left to smash.
