    The Norman Sheppard Tribute Tournament

    Riptile

    Weight-
Shape- See picture on Haka€™s Corner site
    Colour- As above
    Dimensions- L- 95cm H- 30cm W- 60cm
Ground Clearance- 0 at front, 2mm at sides and rear. This is exactly the same if inverted as well
    Turning Circle- 0.
Armour- 6mm Grade 5 titanium, weighing a total of 24.14kg to 2 decimal places
Locomotion- 4-x custom-built 30.4cm diameter rubber tyres, with lightweight drilled aluminium hubs. The 4 tyres, including wheels weigh about 3.5kg each, so 14kg in total
Power- 2 x Eteks, weigh a total of 18.9kg, and produce around 30BHp. They run at 48V, having been powered by 3x 24V TMC batteries, weighing a total of 7.5kg
Removable Link Position- In the centre of the jaw like structure, mounted between the weapons in it€™s own hole.
Weapons- The weapons have been designed to do 2 purposes. To provide a device capable locking a robot in position in order to unleash the massively powerful drive, whilst also capable of doing an immense deal of damage. And so, we have gone back to a weapon first seen in my former robot, The Scissor. However, it€™s now been updated into the modern day. It consists of 2 x 250mm with a thickness of about 4cm Pussycat style blades with a thickness of about 4cm. We can change between titanium blades, carbon blades, or 1 of each. They are mounted about 20cm apart in the centre of the jaw shape of the robot and exit holes in the wedge about 3cm from the base of the wedge. This means that we can shred things without them being too far up the wedge. The blades weigh around 9.14kg each, and spin in opposite directions, meaning we not only can shred with great efficiency, but clamp them between them as well in order to release our drive potential. The 2 blades are each powered by their own NPC-1200 motor, delivering 1.25 BHp to each weapon. These motors weigh about 8.72kg, and have their own 36V APC ventilator battery powering it. The blades can therefore reach a speed of around 3500rpm and have a spin up time of about 3.5 seconds, but are deadly in about 1.5 seconds. Each blade can produce about 21Kj of energy, so around 42Kj in total, which is capable of putting dents in Hardox, holes in titanium, and ripping most other things to shreds. The blades will be stopped if we get a hold on to a machine, to reduce the overheating of the motors, and to enable us to drive them towards pits and obstacles with ease. It€™ll hold with a grip of just under a tonne, meaning that although the grip won€™t do much damage on it€™s own, the blades will, and the force will easily be enough to hold the machines in place
    Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Powerful, well armoured, capable of doing a great deal of damage to certain armourments
Weaknesses- Uber weapons will make mincemeat of the armour. Can be flipped.

    Weight Distribution

    Chassis- I€™m guessing around 7kg
    Armour- 24.14kg
    Batteries- 7.5kg
    Motors- 18.9kg
    Weapons- 18.28kg
    Weapon power- 12.22
Electronics + random nuts and bolts- Around 9kg

      The Norman Sheppard Tribute Tournament

First tictacs for a new war!

      HEAT 1
      ROUND 1
      1) CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS (1) VS Intensity VS Riptile
Tough draw. All I can really do is try outmanouevering the two and grappling from the side before a trip to the Pit. Most likely, Ill concentrate on Riptile, due to having the slightly weaker armour of the two and my Hardoxs good resistance to the blades

      2) Biohazard VS Lunch Box (32) VS Starfire the Third
Either Bio to end up overturned or Starfire to rocket into the Pit. Or maybe both.

Aaron, care for a gang up? You toss em over and then I use my blades to grab and shove em down the pit?

Youve mis-read the stats Aaron. The skirts only meet the floor when theyre lowered, so theyre not just normal PA style skirts which get lowered a little bit more.

By keeping the skirts flat as if they were on the ground 100% of the time, I reckon I can get the effect I want.

You cant run packs in both series and parallel. Youd need 6, btw, for the two Eteks and the two NPC-1200s.

Plus, since when did the Eteks weigh 8.91kg?!?

*9.4kg is still an underestimate. Plus, where are your mounts for any of these? Etek mountsd be 3kg each to sustain them in a vehicle like that!

                      The Norman Sheppard Tribute Tournament

                      Name: Jaws of Hell
                      Weight: 100kg
                      Dimensions (LWH): 130 x 100 x 25 cm
Body shape: Tornado shaped, but with 6 wheels
Weapons: a hydraulic tearer. The idea is that the large blade that is edged on both sides punctures the armour of an opponent, and a 3000psi hydraulic ram separates them, causing a huge tear in the armour. The edge is carbon tipped, so Titanium is not even there as far as Im concerned.
Power: a pair of LEM 130s on 36v running through a Storm 2 transmission (with 6 vulcalon wheels, with small screws in them for that little extra)
Armour: 4mm Hardox and 2mm stainless steel
                      Srimech: invertible
                      Speed: 27mph
                      Strengths: vicious weapon
Weakness: Unique weapon, may be mis-understood

and for my realie, Ill have Hells Teeth

                        Hmm, tactics and predictions...

                        Heat 1

Clawdius Decimus Murderous (1) vs. Intensity vs. Riptile

Riptile or Intensity to go out. Clawdius definitely through.

Lunch Box (32) vs. Biohazard vs. Starfire the 3rd

Lunch Box and Starfire to go through. Biohazard out.

                        Winner: Probably Clawdius

                        Heat 2

Bulldog Breed (3) vs. She Loves You vs. Whirligig 4.0

SLY and Whirly, the dog to eat dust.

Dantomkia (30) vs. Twist of Fate vs. Tanto 2

                        Um, goodbye Tanto

                        Winner: Whirly, SLY, or ToF

                        Heat 3

Gravity 4.5 (5) vs. Denial vs. Ringwraith

All right, attack Ringwraith. The skirt-like plow should take many, and I mean MANY hits before being slivered off. Push it somewhere, but stay away from the pit. Btw Im invertible.

Hacked off Ha-ka (2 vs. Tazbot vs. Hector

                        Haka and Hector.

                        Winner: ME!

                        Heat 4

Flaming Hell (7) vs. Splitz vs. PRP

Im not so sure, Frank. Splitz is WAY under PRP, I think PRP will go bye-bye.

                        X-Terminator (26) vs. 2blue vs. Storm 2

2blue to go to the big blue, courtesy of Storm 2.

                        Winner: Splitz

                        Heat 5

Typhoon 2 (9) vs. Tenderizers Revenge 2 vs. TEAM HELL VAPOUR

                        Dont know yet.

NSBFR-X (24) vs. Chaos 2 vs. Windiest Killer

Definitely NSBFR-X, and maybe Windiest Killer.

                        Winner: NSBFR-X

                        Heat 6

No Close Shave 2 (11) vs. BIACS-LE vs. Drilla Killa 7

NCS and Da Killa. BIACS-LE to bounce out.

Wedge Devolution (22) vs. Axe-O-Lotl vs. Cyborg 3

Wedge to flip Cyborg OOTA (is there OOTA?)

                        Winner: No Close Shave

                        Heat 7

Die Ceratops Invertus (13) vs. Deep Impact 2 vs. Super Gore GTI

Okay, avoid Dieceratops, and aim for the front of Deep Impact. The skirt will prevent slipping under it. Once Deep Impacts in my grasp, thrust it into Dieceratops, and ONLY when Ive got Deep Impact.

Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 (20) vs. Automatic Schmuck vs. Odysseus 2

Um...Automatic Schmuck is going through, but...

Winner: Probably Automatic Schmuck, or me.

                        Heat 8

Giga-Byte (15) vs. Robin the 3rd vs. Wedginator Reviloution

Yes, a team-up - but with Andy , if its all right with him. Aim for the sides of Robin and try to flip it over and once hes flipped over give him to Gigabyte.

The Crashing Bore (1 vs. 13 Black vs. Archangel of the Abyss

                        AAotA and Crashing Bore.

                        Winner: Crashing Bore or AAotA.

                        Heat 9

Hell Machine (17) vs. Orka MK4 vs. Supernova

                        Supernova to nova out.

Disco 5 (16) vs. Killobite Recharged vs. Wedga Revo

Attack Disco 5. The flipper shouldnt be able to get under me AT ALL. Nor should Wedga Revo. But to be safe just grip Disco 5 and shove its disc into Wedga Revo.

                        Winner: Um, dont know.

                        Heat 10

Ram-Rod (19) vs. Cyclone Force 2 vs. Mute

As Mute, I shall flip Ram-Rod around a few times, and then attack Cyclone Force 2. Hopefully Ill get enough points to win over a judges decision.

Slammer 5 (14) vs. The Disc 5 vs. Razer

Alex can you say revenge? No, because Razer is the one going out here.

                        Winner: The Disc 5

                        Heat 11

ForcePower Turbo (21) vs. Tails vs. El Persistance

                        El Persistance to quit persisting.

Firestorm 5 (12) vs. Balderdash vs. Team Hells Realie

                        Dont know.

                        Winner: ForcePower Turbo

                        Heat 12

Achilles (23) vs. Rogue vs. Starstorm 2

Flipping Hell (10) vs. GeForce vs. Gamma Trident

Clover will NOT win this one. GeForce and Flipping Hell to go through.

                        Winner: GeForce or Achilles

                        Heat 13

Battle Raptor 3 or Disco Dancer to go out. Ze Newie is definitely going through.

                        Leprosy to fly OOTA.

                        Winner: Ze Newie or Panicking

                        Beast Boy to crash out.

Winner: Scottishly Fictional, me, or Kick in the Teeth.

I am so sure about that Kody. The only way Splitz will be able to do any kind of real damage is if the spinners weigh a dangerous amount of each machines 25 Kg allowance. Also considering each part will need to be small, she hasnt got enough surface area to get up a decent amount of KE.

Another thing I really dont get is your fixation that axes can smash hardox to pieces. Terrorhurtz can barely dent the stuff, and even Supernova couldnt do more than scratch it, so axes have no chance. Even if they are nitrogen powered.

By the way, some bad news for Dave W. Dan got to that idea first with The Deflesher

Frank, how the HELL does a heavyweight beat four Ziggos?!

And Martyn, I have a flat hammer, so the only way I could get it caught in the floor is if the floor is weak. And, yes, I know, pneumatics are only temporary, but then this is a fic tourney .

New tactics: Ram straight at the Deer and allow it to grab me at the front, then hammer it until something from the Deer falls out. Hardox doesnt prevent vibrations.

Also your 4 ziggos are likely to damage them selves if they hit a hardox heavyweight they are lightly to shock them selves

If you ram at my front I wont grab you because i wont want to risk damage, i will also avoid the weapon on the other robot aswell.
