More wootiness and although Id like Dervish to whirl through again, I cant help feeling El Persistance will end up bringing around another upset

€˜Tis time for the heat B final! In round 1, Dervish VI spun past Bisyamonten, while El-Persistence shoved and bullied Artros into submission. Now they€™ve not only got to dodge each other, but the house robots as we move into the Classic arena.

      3€¦
      2€¦
      1€¦.
      ACTIVATE!!

In the blink of an eye, Dervish spins up to speed, but El-Persistence slams under the spinning drum, and takes Dervish into the wall! The wedge armour is torn and buckled by this, but El-Persistence isn€™t slowed down, and takes Dervish into the CPZ containing Uncle Tomahawk! The axe comes down and slams into the drum, but not making much impression. El-Persistence does what its name implies, and pushed Dervish right into the corner, before exiting smartly!

Dervish moves to escape, but Uncle Tomahawk is crowding it in, and flailing wildly with the axe! After a couple of seconds, dervish is able to attack the house robot, knocking it over! Uncle Tomahawk self rights in a flash, but Dervish has enough time to escape, and is shunted right into a wall by El-Persistence! Dervish manages to slip off the wedge before any serious pushing happens, and hits El-Persistence on the rear, bouncing El-Persistence up but not over!

El-Persistence avoids another blow, and gets under the side of Dervish! Dervish starts to roll away, but El-Persistence keeps moving, and Dervish ends up in the CPZ of Bane! El-Persistence drives Dervish right into the erm€¦ Hands of Bane, and the claws nip onto one of the wheels and stopping Dervish from escaping! Dervish struggles to escape, but Bane isn€™t letting go. However the claws don€™t seem to be making much progress on the thick armour of Dervish!

Eventually Bane is forced to let go due to the 30 second rule, and Dervish storms straight out and into the side of El-Persistence, knocking the ram €˜bot over, and tearing a large gash in the armour! El-Persistence starts to move away, but takes a hit on the other side, knocking it the right way up again! El-Persistence gets under the drum, and gets its wedge torn up more for its troubles, but still takes Dervish along and slams it into a wall, bouncing Dervish up and onto the top of El-Persistence!

El-Persistence reverses, making Dervish roll off, and gets under a wheel, and slams half of Dervish into the wall! However Dervish spins around and hits El-Persistence on the side again, causing a whole panel to fly off on impact! El-Persistence tries to move away, but the blow has destroyed movement on one side, and Dervish hits the panel-less side again, tearing out a battery and knocking El-Persistence over!

Movement on El-Persistence€™s part seems to be a no-no, so the nearby Flipup comes out of its CPZ to give it a nudge. Still no movement, so El-Persistence is counted out and shown onto the floor flipper and given some air-time while the pit descends! Amazingly, El-Persistence starts moving feebly after landing, but only in circles, so Flipup fields it with the bucket scoop, and shunts it into the pit.

El-Persistence is El-Gonna, Dervish VI goes through to the next round!

Hit and keep hitting for me

4mm ABC was thn enough for my middleweight to go through, so hopefully well have the same luck here

The axe will only hit the cage or the disc, and the cage can tak a fair bashing. If he flips us, just keep doing the same thing. I think we have the advantage unless we break down, as this is Last Bot Standing and I have th emore vicious weaponry

I wouldnt like to predict the other fight, but Ill say Sheer Hell to pit Stratos Fear

                More wootyness!

                HEAT C
                ROUND 1
                1) Sheer Hell (5) VS StratosFear
Scotty to KO the seed after a hell of a hard flip

                2) Bull in a China Shop L.E. VS Heir to Black Panther IV
Could be close, this un, but Ill pick Alex to get through on a judges decision (presuming you can get them in Last Bot Standing, that is)

He has a 7mm ground clearance at the front. Therefore Ill drive straight at it and press the fire button, and see how high Sheer Hell goes

                  Repeat for desired effect.

Right. Putting MSN fights behind us all, let€™s get to some fights where they belong Today€™s cast of characters are:

Sheer Hell: Our number 5 seed, this robot has two discs, both horizontal and vertical and is more than capable of delivering a slice of hell to its opponents. However thanks to its gyroscopic forces, it doesn€™t like being flipped. Last time around it sliced and diced 3-6-0 and Gyro Force before itself being sliced and diced by Dervish Mach 3, then coming third in the fifth place playoff.

BIACS-LE - A very odd axle €˜bot design with a very odd disc. It must have taken a very odd person to come up with something like€¦ Oh yeah. It€™s Matty€™s, so there we go With a potentially vicious weapon it could do far, but flippers and rammers could send this bull right back out of the china shop.

Heir to Black Panther 4 returns to take revenge for the original Heir to Black Panther. This time around the armour has been changed, and it can now adjust the power between axe and flipper. Last time around it beat up Flippa fairly convincingly, but then lost to Crusher Chaos fairly convincingly. For this fight, it will be using five canisters for the axe and three for the flipper.

Lastly is Stratos-Fear. A newbie to this war, but this invertible launch-pad has done well in other competitions, making it one to fear. Scott is aiming to chuck all comers out of the arena. However, the armour has been compromised to make weight for the insanely powerful weapon, so spinners could leave the launch pad in tatters.

                        Battle 1

First up, the seed Sheer Hell takes on Stratos-Fear, in the new Roulette arena!

Sheer Hell goes to hit Stratos-Fear with the horizontal disc, but Stratos-Fear just goes under the disc, taking a slash as it does so! Sheer Hell is spun off the flipper, Stratos-Fear easily gets under the side again and launched Sheer Hell across the arena! Sheer Hell comes down on the vertical disc, and is bounced up again, spinning around in the air, bouncing off the horizontal disc and landing upside down! The srimech starts to activate, but Stratos-Fear comes in, gets under the troubled Sheer Hell and fires! Sheer Hell goes clear over the fence, and incidentally destroys a camera!

                        Battle 2

BIACS-LE takes on Heir to Black Panther 4 now in the Last €˜Bot Standing arena.

                        3€¦
                        2€¦
                        1€¦..
                        ACTIVATE!!

BIACS-LE charges in with the odd shaped disc, but Heir evades, gets under the side of BIACS-LE and flips! BIACS-LE spins around and hits the disc into the side of Heir, causing it to rock up with a nice new dent in the side! Heir spins around and slams under BIACS-LE, pushing it into the wall and axing the cage! The axe easily penetrates the fibreglass, but the mesh underneath prevents it going any further, so the axe is withdrawn and sunk in again and again!

BIACS-LE squirms away from the pin, and hits Heir on the side with the disc again, tearing a gash in the armour! Heir spins around again and flips BIACS-Le over, but BIACS-Le just runs off to turn around and get the disc up to speed, before once more confronting Heir head on with the weapon! The disc strikes Heir€™s flipper plate, buckling it up and maybe beyond use! Alex doesn€™t look too bothered though, as most of his eggs are in the basket marked €œaxe€.

The axe shoots down, sinking into the fibreglass again, and Heir pushes BIACS-LE along the arena and into the wall, keeping it pinned while dealing out numerous axe blows until a yellow light warns him off! BIACS-LE replies with another blow to the flipper plate, half tearing it off! Well, the flipper has to be out of commission now, and the axe comes down again into the cage!

BIACS-Le reverses to try and get away, and the axe comes free. However it drags a section of the fibreglass with it, leaving a large hole in the cage! BIACS-Le comes in again with the flywheel, catching Heir on the side and tearing a gash in the armour! Heir tries to turn around to axe BIACS-LE again, but BIACS-LE spins away from the blow, and hits the side again, making the gash bigger!

Heir spins around more, and the flipper plate comes off completely now! The axe crunches down onto the cage, but again gets pulled up short by the mesh underneath! Heir pushes BIACS-Le into the arena wall, pounding on the Swiss-cheese resembling fibreglass even more, but BIACS-LE darts forwards and the flywheel shoots into the gap where the flipper plate was! A great cloud of Co2 shoots out of Heir, and now Alex is looking worried as the axe isn€™t moving!

Heir starts moving again, pushing BIACS-LE around the arena, but with no way to pin it in place, BIACS-LE is able to escape and inflict more pain upon the sides of Heir! Eventually a piece of armour flies off, and Alex immediately spins Heir to get that side away from BIACS-LE! Unperturbed, BIACS-LE strikes the other side, causing Heir to stop moving altogether! BIACS-LE strikes again to make sure, but this kitty ain€™t going nowhere! Point out the double negative, and I will hurt you Heir is counted out, and BIACS-LE moves through to the next round!

When inspected for damage, it turned out the repeated blows on Heir caused the motors blow.

And so the heat C final:

Stratos-Fear vs BIACS-LE will be fighting in the last €˜bot standing arena.

                            Heh, rock on!

I think Ill fill the tank with CO2, for extra flips. Ill flip him twice, and hope the impact damage crumples the cage. Then Ill hold the flips a bit. I dont like this arena at all :-P. Later, when Biacs-Le has gotten tired, make some more flips and cause some greater impact damage.

Welcome, one and all to our third heat final. In the last round, Stratos-Fear took out fifth seed Sheer Hell in a blink and miss it match, while BIACS-LE managed to put Heir to Black Panther 4 to sleep. This time around they€™re fighting in the Last €˜Bot Standing arena!

                                3€¦
                                2€¦

Stratos-Fear charges directly at BIACS-LE, who swerves out of the way and brings the spinning weapon into Stratos-Fear€™s side! Stratos-Fear spins around, and flips under the weapon of BIACS-LE, tipping the robot over but not much else! However Stratos-Fear moves forwards before BIACS-LE can escape, gets under the rear and throws BIACS-LE right across the arena, where it lands with a huge crash!

BIACS-LE goes back on the attack, slicing into the flipper plate of Stratos-Fear, but Scott€™s in an aggressive mood today and takes Stratos-Fear right under the weapon and again propels BIACS-LE into the air! This time BIACS-LE goes straight up, spins around a couple of times, executes a perfect reverse pike, crashes into the ground and gets 8.0€™s all round from the judges! Before BIACS-LE can escape, Stratos-Fear is under again, and hurls the axle-€˜bot across the arena once more!

BIACS-LE lands on its own weapon, and gets bounced up a little again before it can start running after Stratos-Fear again, but it looks like the weapon was broken by the landing! This makes it easy for Stratos-Fear to get under BIACS-LE again with impunity and fire it into the air again, and on landing a piece of the fibreglass cage comes off! BIACS-LE is now looking so battered you€™d be forgiven for thinking it was in with a spinner, but it€™s still going in an attempt to somehow get rid of Stratos-Fear!

Stratos-Fear has other plans though, and tosses BIACS-LE straight up again, causing another large crack to appear in the cage! BIACS-LE is starting to look sluggish, as Stratos-Fear gives it another huge flip causing more fibreglass to come off, but it€™s still moving! Scott isn€™t having any of that, and flips BIACS-LE yet again, and finally it looks like this punishment has finished BIACS-LE off! It€™s not moving, so Stratos-Fear spins on the spot while BIACS-LE is counted out

This bull€™s been thrown out of the china shop, Stratos-Fear heads to new heights!
