  • Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!

Thanks Matty, but that website doesnt give full details on most of the gauntlet and trials, like how far each robot went in the gauntlet and their positions or scores in the trials. I was wondering if anyone had those written down.

I do know another site which DID say the positions, but its old and out-of-date. Besides, I cant find it. I think it was Plunderus or something like that.

      • Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!

Welcome to VFT6, where we have another special event lined up - the Challenge Belt! To start with, weve given the belt to Steven McGregor and his robot Wedge Devolution - Steven and some evolution of Wedge have entered every VFT so far, and while in three VFTs, Wedge has gone out in Round 1 or 2, it came 3rd in VFT2, 4th in VFT3, and is set to come at least 4th in the main VFT6 tournament, having reached the final with Storm 2, NSBFR-X and Hypertension Mk2!

If Wedge Devolution wins against three challengers, it keeps the Belt and gets another one to compete for. But if a challenger beats the Wedge, it gets the belt, and has to defend it twice to keep it! Theres nine challengers lined up, and the first is Happy Birthday Party Pooper!

        3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Wedge Devolution ran straight at Happy Birthday Party Pooper, who ran off to get spinning! It was spinning at a good speed when Wedge caught up, got underneath and fired its flipper - but Wedge got the timing a bit wrong and recieved a tooth slash as it was doing so, sending it spinning away! As HBPPs spinner hit the floor, it bounced and shuddered, stabilising relatively quickly, but not fast enough to start scuttling away from Wedge Devo, who came in underneath and tossed it over again! As HBPP landed on the floor, Wedge got its wedge under and charged it into the wall, before firing the flipper to try and prop it up! But HBPP went up, landed on its side and quickly fell back down! It began trying to run and spin up, but Wedge Devolution wouldnt have that, turning around, getting its blade under and sending it over again! Getting straight under HBPP, Wedge continued toying with it, now shoving it into the corner and giving it another flip to try and prop it! Going up, HBPP came back down on top of Wedge Devolution, before falling to one side and looking like it might be stuck against the wall. But when Wedge backed off to test it, down HBPP came! There was no time for it to get away however, as back in came Wedge Devolution, deciding to finish the battle just as it had done in their VFT6 Round 1 melee by coming under Happy Birthday Party Pooper, steering it in the right direction, rushing to the pit release with it, before turning around, stopping short of the pit, and firing the flipper to toss the spinning walker in successfully! The Challenge Belt holder had made one successful defence, but it needed to achieve two more!
        CEASE!

        WEDGE DEVOLUTION DEFENDS THE BELT!

Go for the sides and try to knock the flipper out of action. Maybe I should attach some wings to be bot and call it WingMaster

            • Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!

In the last fight, Wedge Devolution beat an invertable spinner - its next challenger, Ringmaster, is also an invertable spinner, but how will it compare to the last battle?

              3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Being faster, Ringmaster sped away from Wedge Devolution and was able to keep away long enough to get spinning, before coming on the offensive! Wedge went for a flip - and missed, allowing Ringmaster to smash into its side and send it reeling into the wall! Ringmaster eagerly came in again, but Wedge turned and got its blade under the side of the spinner, and fired the flipper! The flipper took a dent and Wedge Devolution flew a short distance, but Ringmaster was tipped up and flew even more as its spinner hit the floor! Before Ringmaster could settle, under came Wedge Devolution, ramming it into the corner and firing its flipper to try and prop it up! But Ringmaster flew over Wedge, hitting the wall and bouncing onto the floor! Wedge reversed into it, but Ringmaster pushed hard back for a few seconds! It eventually moved away and got spinning again, but the Challenge Belt holder still attacked! However, Ringmaster successfully dodged, and came back to smash into the Hardox side again! Attacking again, it was almost flipped by Wedge Devolution but dodged again and hit it in the rear! Twisted around, Wedge tried to get the flipper in but Ringmaster escaped!
The two robots ended up spinning around before the next attack came - eventually, Ringmaster advanced, but Wedge Devolution was able to move to get underneath, still taking a hit from the teeth but sending Ringmaster head over heels in the air! Ringmaster went bouncing into the pit release corner, bouncing off the wall and off the approaching Wedge Devolution! It wisely ran away before Wedge could take advantage of the open pit, and began spinning again, unaggressively dodging Wedge until the pit was closed! It then attacked again, clanging off the Hardox as Wedge Devolution mistimed another flip! Unfortunately, as Ringmaster attacked again, Wedge Devolution swerved and was able to perform another flip that catapulted Ringmaster into the wall, making the arena shudder and Ringmaster fly! Coming down on its wheels, Ringmaster was still alive, and was able to run from Wedge Devolution again! It ran in circles around the Belt Holder, eventually coming round to its side and striking with full force, denting the Hardox and sending Wedge into the wall! Coming in, Ringmaster had to abort the attack as Wedge aimed to flip it, then circled and came in again, striking along the side! Dodging the flipper again, Ringmaster again hit Wedge Devolution in the rear, almost sending it into the arena disc! On the next charge, the two missed each other, but Ringmaster was soon coming back, bashing Wedge in the side before it could react! Wedge Devolution and Ringmaster went for each other again, and as Wedge manouvered they missed again, but Wedge went in and flipped Ringmaster again, while sustaining more damage to the flipper! Rotating in the air, Ringmaster went smash into the wall, came back down and bounced off Wedge Devolution! When Ringmaster settled on the floor, Wedge Devolution was there to toss it, although not quite with the same capacity as normal!
Almost being propped against the wall, Ringmaster touched ground again, but Wedge Devolution slipped underneath as it was running and tossed it again to slow it down! Just managing to keep ahead when it touched the floor, Ringmaster got spinning again, but Wedge kept coming! Dodging the charge, Ringmaster reversed and Wedge recieved another side blow, causing more armour damage! After almost being flipped again, Ringmaster glanced Wedge in a rear corner and knocked it into the wall - unfortunately, this twisted Wedge into the right position to flip Ringmaster again as it came past, although the flipper was damaged some more in the process! Hitting the floor again, Ringmasters strong chassis allowed it to survive, and it ended up at a sufficient distance to run away from the advancing Wedge Devolution and respin! Both robots charged - and almost missed, but Ringmaster glanced Wedge, disorienting it enough for a better attack on the side panel! Wedge ended up in the corner, and took another bash from Ringmaster before it could escape - the Hardox was holding up, but the Belt Holder looked very battered! Wedge came out of the corner to have another go, but it seemed to be slowing a little, and failed to attack Ringmaster or stop its next attack that sent it against the wall again! This again sent it into a position to use the flipper, but Ringmaster responded quickly enough to escape, then circle Wedge Devolution and hit it again! Wedge Devolution now headed for the pit release, but Ringmaster caught up with it on the way and hit it in the rear! This ended up propelling Wedge Devolution closer to the release, but when it nudged it, time ran out before anything more could happen!
              CEASE!

Aggression: Wedge - 5, Ringmaster - 5 (R got in more attacks and was more aggressive at the end, but ran away a few times)
Damage: Wedge - 1, Ringmaster - 9 (R took a few scratches from the hits, but seriously battered Wedge)
Style: Wedge - 6, Ringmaster - 4 (Wedges flips were more stylish, although Rs spinner attacks were more frequent)
Control: Wedge - 5, Ringmaster - 5 (both robots had equal control)
Strategy: Wedge - 5, Ringmaster - 5 (both robots had simple strategies - W to flip, R to attack the sides)
Dominance: Wedge - 3, Ringmaster - 7 (R got in more attacks, and was certainly more dominant in the final moments)
              Final Score: Wedge Devolution - 25, Ringmaster - 35

RINGMASTER TAKES THE BELT FROM WEDGE DEVOLUTION!

We have a new Challenge Belt holder in the form of Ringmaster, but it must win two more fights to keep the belt for all time! Can Juggerbee 3.0 take the belt away?

                  3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Juggerbee 3.0 came straight at Ringmaster, who tried reversing to escape, but Juggerbee quickly caught up and rammed into it! Ringmaster was already spinning, but not at full power, so it deflected Juggerbee! But Juggerbee quickly turned and reversed into the spinner, causing both robots to be knocked a short distance! As Ringmaster started running and spinning again, Juggerbee reversed hard into it again, which shoved Ringmaster into the wall! It bounced off, back into Juggerbee 3.0, then against the wall again, slowing the 1000rpm spinner down! Before Ringmaster could get away from the wall, Juggerbee managed to turn and get its flipper underneath, taking Ringmasters wheels off the ground! They remained in that spot for a moment, then Juggerbee 3.0 propelled Ringmaster into the southwest corner and fired the flipper, successfully propping it against the wall! Ringmaster appeared to be stuck there for a few seconds, then it rolled a little and slid back down - but already Juggerbee was upon it, ramming it against the wall so hard Ringmaster almost skimmed onto Juggerbees back! Turning around, Juggerbee 3.0 carried the helpless Ringmaster to the pit release, but hit it a bit too hard, so Ringmaster flew out of its grasp!
Desperately, Juggerbee 3.0 twisted around as Ringmaster ran away, its spinner spinning! It sped in for a ram - and missed! Ringmaster quickly came in as Juggerbee turned and smashed it in the side! It then glanced Juggerbee in the rear corner! Backing off, Juggerbee came in again - as Ringmaster shifted, it performed a comical skid before coming in and colliding with the spinner, being deflected again, but reversing into Ringmaster to try and slow the ring! When it reversed again, it didnt come in at the right angle and was deflected! Ringmaster came in while Juggerbee was disoriented, but Juggerbee 3.0 reacted quickly enough to ram it head on, taking some damage to the flipper but slowing Ringmaster some more! The two robots collided again, with Juggerbee taking a dent! Ringmaster now kept its distance from Juggerbee long enough to strike it along the side! But Juggerbee retaliated, reversing into Ringmaster and taking it close to the wall! Ringmaster tried to get away, but Juggerbee rammed it again, and it brushed the wall, bouncing off! Juggerbee reversed into Ringmaster, slowing the spinner down more, and pushed against it! Once they had turned and Ringmaster was against the wall again, Juggerbee 3.0 moved to get its flipper underneath again! This time, it went straight for the pit release, more carefully so it kept hold of Ringmaster, then took the now former Belt Holder down the hole, and moved to do a victory dance in the arena centre!
                  CEASE!

The Challenge Belt has changed hands again, but will Juggerbee 3.0 continue holding onto it, or will Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint become a fourth Belt Holder?

                      3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Juggerbee 3.0 again accelerated at Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint, but the bar was already spinning, so it was cast away! PRP moved towards Juggerbee, who reversed at it to slow the bar, and ran up the skirts into the bar, causing it to hit the bar and be deflected again! Juggerbee ran at PRP again, now head on, but the result was the same! Twisting around, it ran head on into the bar again, and being deflected away less by the slowed spinner, it reversed, stopping the bar! Unfortunately, as Juggerbee 3.0 tried to push, it ran up the skirts again, leaving it struggling as PRP pushed back! This struggle went on for a bit, then PRP turned around and came under Juggerbees side! With Juggerbee unable to get away, PRP turned it around and ran it into the arena disc! As Juggerbee 3.0 bounced off and away, PRP got a good distance away, and was able to get spinning! Juggerbee angrily charged, but when it collided with PRP, it was deflected into the arena disc! Skimming off, it hit PRP again, and went straight back into the disc, causing more damage to the armour! The disorientated Juggerbee ended up against the wall, where PRP smashed against it again!
Backing up, Juggerbee 3.0 ran at Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint again - PRP swerved, intending to hit it along the side, but they missed each other, and Juggerbee ran into the wall! PRP wasnt complaining, as it could whack Juggerbee in the rear! Juggerbee 3.0 ran off before it could be hit again, and PRP quickly moved away from the wall as it came in again, and was sent flying into the wall again, with PRP escaping contact with the wall! PRP gave Juggerbee another strike in the front, before moving safely away as Juggerbee again attacked! A quick move from PRP hit Juggerbee 3.0 in the front corner and sent it spinning, but Juggerbee managed to make full contact in the next attack - although it was smashed in the wedge again! Unable to use its wedge on the low skirts, Juggerbee 3.0 turned and tried to use its flipper, but the flipper went over the skirts as well, and got bashed by the bar when it misfired! Trying a different approach, Juggerbee came in carefully and tried to flip PRP from under the bar. As the flipper came up, PRP was tipped, and the gyroscopic forces made it dance wildly! Eventually, after some spinning, it stabilised, but Juggerbee 3.0s flipper hadnt - it was ripped, and no longer working! As Juggerbee charged in to try again in getting under the skirts, it again failed, and PRPs bar hit a rear corner, twisting Juggerbee around so its side hit the bar as well! It quickly ran to get spinning again before the next collision, which came soon afterward, and resulted in Juggerbee 3.0s wedge armour being pierced!
Moving away from Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint, the battered Belt Holder went for the pit release, but PRP kept well away from that zone until the pit closed! Deciding to try again, Juggerbee 3.0 attacked with its rear again to try and nudge PRP into the pit area, and was again deflected! A bit of dancing around to lure PRP in eventually worked when Matty decided to risk it - but when Juggerbee reversed into the release, PRP made a hasty retreat! Juggerbee came after it, swerved and rammed it, but the wound in its wedge was opened wider! With Juggerbee close to the wall, PRP moved to attack it again, but Juggerbee got away, taking a glancing blow from the bar! It reversed again, but failed to nudge PRP significantly closer to the pit, and its rear armour was penetrated a little! With Juggerbee 3.0 sent against the wall again, PRP ran straight into its rear! The impact was the final straw for the badly damaged Juggerbee 3.0, who gave up the ghost, and the Challenge Belt! How often was this Belt changing hands?!
                      CEASE!

After four battles, the Challenge Belt has hopped from one bot to another, and is now possessed by Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint. But will PRP lose it just as quickly when it meets Hassocks Hog 2?

Hassocks Hog 2 charged down Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint, intent on reaching it before the bar spun up, but failed! The flipper fruitlessly went over the skirts, and right into the bar! HH2 was spun away, an ugly tear in its front! As PRP advanced, HH2 ran for it, before coming back in to try and flip it from under the bar! When the damaged flipper came in underneath, it successfully tipped PRP but not much, and PRP was not destablised! Away went HH2 again, shards flying off it, its flipper torn deeper and now useless! PRP attacked, but the faster HH2 ran away, dancing around it before going for the pit release! It went around PRP, just missing the spinning bar, and went closer to the pit, but PRP would not be tempted in! After the pit had closed, HH2 began lingering around the wall, hoping to ram PRP against it! There was a bit of dancing around, until the two robots finally collided! HH2 came off worse, with a ripped side panel! It charged at PRP, in an attempt to send it into the wall, but PRP ran right into the flipper, and struck hard without being sent into the wall! Its flipper bent and another panel damaged, HH2 had lost control on one side, and was helpless to do anything but turn in a circle! PRP gleefully struck again, on the already damaged side panel, damaging it even more and causing fatal damage! The motionless Hassocks Hog 2 was counted out - the pig had been well and truly slaughtered, and a celebratory ham could be in order for Matty!

Bar Spinner vs. Overhead guillotine, and I have the speed advantage in all my gears.

My main aim will be to Box-Rush it at the start, then fire the guillotine, the bar has an overhang, and the guillotine should hopefully slice off the end, meaning PRP has no weapon overwise it will start to shake.

Once the weapon has stopped, using my speed advanatage, get around the sides and cause a lot of damage with the guillotine by firing it at the top/skirts. Always use the vaccum to hold the robot down when firing, and if I can get underneath PRP, fire, hold, open pit, pit.

If PRP starts to attack, turn and get away to attack back, never go into 3rd gear, keep the speed about 15 mph for best control, so I can control the match.

                                Good luck Matty Boy
