A good one is google sketch-up you can also get different models from other people.

a lot can really be said about Paint, it is simple and free and a real easy way to get an image across, but if you are looking for a proper 3D feel, I have got to agree with the post above me and say look for Google Sketch Up, it is said to be quite effective, myself I use Rhino though
