Hello
I've waited here for you
Medium sized ones
-- Foo Fighters, Everlong, The Colour And The Shape, 1997. Adapted by Andrew Jackson, 2010
Now the intro's out of the way, down to business...I'm afraid it's me again :P here to create another tournament for everyone's viewing pleasure, and this time it's one I can actually complete (Chevron Championship 2 being on hold for a variety of reasons, my real life robot commitments and college being among them), as it's restricted to four entrants and will be run on a straight knockout system so I only have four battles to do.
Here is what I require, in a nutshell:
> Four people to enter one heavyweight vapourbot each. For the purposes of (among other things) encouraging innovation, only totally new machines will be permitted to enter, and this classes anything that may have been already fought or created or posted on any forum as 'old' - you must enter with something completely new and unseen.
> Entrants MUST be willing to post tactics in a timely manner, the format of the tournament will require them for reasons that will become clear. If you do not post them I will assume control of your robot in battles with results that may or may not be to your liking, so be warned
> All entries must be made on this stat sheet:
NAME: Self explanatory I think, your fictional robot's name. This must not be the same as any other existing vapourbot or real robot, if possible, for reasons which shall become clear later.
DESCRIPTION: (optional) Describe your entry here. Feel free to include as much technical detail or as little vague information as you feel like writing; this is open to all ability levels and I reserve the right to disregard anything you may say in this section. It's a strange tournament like that ;P
All will become clear in the meantime; this is something of an experiment for me, an exercise in tactics and de-emphasising of stat values. Hopefully it'll be fun to do and get me back into writing...so in the words of many a great philosopher: What are you waiting for, get entering!
