Chapter Four ~ Is This A Liar I See?
€œWe€™ll accept the challenge€ said Kody confidently €œBring on the Baron and his guards; we€™ll be more than a match for him!€Â
Peter looked less optimistic €œOkay then...€ he said quietly €œWhich 3 of you will fight?€Â
€œKody, Joey and I€ Jack spoke up €œWhere is this Baron?€Â
€œFollow me!€ said the man that had challenged Peter about bringing our heroes into the sewers, and he morphed into Omega 13, revealing his identity.
He led them through the chamber and through a door on the far side, and everybody in the hall flocked through after them and filled all the seats in a massive stadium, far larger than the Annihilation Stadium back home. The arena itself was oval shaped, with flame grilles lining the outside and a large pneumatic flipping spike in the centre. At the opposite end of the arena three robots rolled through a rising door - in the centre was the baron Dominator 3, flanked by S3 and Liar 2! Our heroes were surprised by the appearance of such a high calibre opponent in the sewers, but nevertheless Mark, Tracy and Jordan took their seats in the audience while Kody, Joey and Jack morphed, Kody becoming the fierce Wedginator 9.0, Joey the terrifying Nidhogg Cubed and Jack the dangerous I.A.N. The two teams lined up and morphed into RoTaS, firing his flipper arm to signal the beginning of the match!
Dominator 3 made the first onslaught, rushing across the arena and passing over the pneumatic spike so quickly that it didn€™t have time to rise and flip him. He collided with Nidhogg and initially pushed Joey back across the arena and into the entry gate just by managing to startle them with its quick ram. Wedginator turned to help Joey, as Dominator had managed to edge underneath Nidhogg while I.A.N ran out and met S3 head on, getting underneath the front of the disc and pushing it back onto the flame grilles, firing the flipper to slam S3 against the barriers! Wedginator got underneath the rear of Dominator and lifted it up, but Liar 2 ran in from behind and got in underneath the rear of Kody, firing its own flipper and tossing Wedginator sky high, where it slammed into the barrier before crashing down into the flip-out zones! Kody was furious as he was forced to morph back into Wedginator, completely unhurt but defeated on a technicality! Joey meanwhile had been freed by Wedginator€™s attack and attacked the Baron, who had been upturned by Liar 2€™s attack on Wedginator has he had still been on the lifting arms when Dominator was flipped. Joey caught the Baron in his crushing arm, but Liar 2 was persistent and rammed underneath the rear of Nidhogg, pushing it onto the flame grilles with such force and speed Joey lost his grip on Dominator and Liar flipped Nidhogg over the barrier! Nidhogg morphed and cursed as he joined Kody in the stands, suddenly not feeling so fantastic.
Meanwhile I.A.N had dominated S3 and Jack eventually managed to flip S3 over the barrier, morphing back into Dave Barker as it hit the floor. Dominator and Liar 2 then turned back towards I.A.N, ramming towards Jack, but he wasn€™t afraid and rammed straight back at them, slipping in underneath the front of Dominator 3 and ramming him back across the arena at top speed, throwing him with such speed and force using the flipper that he too flew over the barrier and landed in the flip-out zone!
Liar 2 span around and attacked I.A.N, trying to get underneath, but Jack was too quick and got away. This continued for a few minutes, with I.A.N getting a few good rams and flips on Liar 2 but not managing to get it out of the arena due to the weight distribution of Liar 2 and its own flipper set up. Liar 2 however got nearly no attacks on I.A.N, and the crowd was loving the fight. Eventually RoTaS called time on the match, as neither robot could dispatch the other and the crowd was tiring of the endless cat and mouse.
All the robots were unloaded from the arena and I.A.N morphed into Jack while Liar 2 morphed into Martijn Benschop, who came over to talk to Jack.
€œYou fight very well, I am impressed€ said Martijn
€œThanks€ smiled Jack €œYou€™re not so bad yourself!€Â
They laughed together
€œI have heard the story of your quest€ began Martijn €œI was wondering... If perhaps I could join you? Life down here in the sewers; I do not like it. It is better than the slums in the city, but I am not used to this poverty and I wish to leave€Â
€œI€™ll talk it over with the guys€ promised Jack €œBut anyway, what happens now?€Â
€œWell the rules state we will give you some help if you prove yourself worthy fighters if you at least last the round. We tried to defeat you...€ said Martijn €œBut we didn€™t manage it; you win, but we won€™t offer hospitality. However I may have offered you something more valuable; myself. I could prove crucial to you on your mission€Â
The rest of our heroes ran over to congratulate Jack on lasting the round at that point, and Martijn took this opportunity to ask them if he could accompany them.

Martijn wants to join your quest! However, if you allow him to join you and leave the sewers then the Baron will not be obliged to give you any information. What do you want to do?
NOTE: I did not add Martijn into the RPG without his permission, on the contrary he requested it :P
