  • Retiring For Good

I'm sorry guys, but it's just I've been hanging around here less and less recently, and things have bee crawling along....I just don't have time to do anything around here anymore.

So I am officially retiring from vapourboteering.

    Thank you to everyone who gave me support, advice and a helping hand over the years. I couldn't have done it without you....even if my success WAS limited. I'll never be a master. ^^;;

    Goodbye everyone.

Goodbye DW, shame to see you go but such is life. Have fun in whatever you are going to do next.

Chris, can I have some of your retired robots?

But seriously, it's pretty sad to see you leave. Adios, and enjoy whatever you do wherever you go.

Chris, man, you are one of the old timers here, pre dating me for one, and its sad to see you go. I DO hope that if at some point when our activity grows and a big classic tournament opens up, you will join the fun and enter your best robots for the hell of it. Ive always lived by the philosophy that during my periods of less activity I'll always be able to give someone some of my vapours for his tournament and cheer for them. Won't be blaming you if you don't do this Chris, but I'd find it cool if you did, mixed success or not Die-Ceratops is a classic, and some of your robots highly improved recently such as Mega Masher.

        Best of luck Chris!

Very sorry to hear that, Chris. I hoped you would complete Two Sides to Every War, but it doesn't matter. I understand the stresses of balancing your own life with work on this forum.

I hope you have a good future

Also, I really did enjoy your Super Seeds competitions and would have liked to see the second one you did finished. You and Tom Brisbourne inspired my coming to this forum. Both of you did some good real robot competitions that as I said once before, Jonathon Pearce would gladly commentate if they were real

If its OK, can I take some of your ideas for any future competitions I do? It's OK if you don't want me to

          Anyway, so long, Chris

            Aww, no way
Well, good luck with what the future brings. In all seriousness, you were a very gallant vapourboteer, don't ever forget that.

That is understandable, but it will be sad to see you go.

In the last two or three years you were really progressing as a vapourbot designer. As Martijn said, Die-Ceratops and Orka in particular will be remembered as classic vapourbots.

Come back one day and let us all know how you're getting on.

Oh damn. Another one bites the dust.

Good luck with whatever you're doing Chris.

Your presence in Mechanical Maelstrom will be missed...

...after the last of your robots are eliminated :P

                  Farewell Chris

Thanks guys. As I said, I couldn't have done it without you.

But don't worry....you may still see me around. Kody's RPG kinda depends on it. XD

As for selling the robots...I might consider it.....might.
