No really, basically nothing has happened for a month, anything I've entered seems to be off...can we call fanfic here dead yet?

This place dies and revives in cycles, as someone (Andy?) once said...it's just in a bit of a lull atm.

Yeah, activity has slowed down a bit recently. I wouldn€™t call it dead though - Mechanical Maelstrom, PTT, FRFFT and Robobash have all been updated in the past month. As Joey said, most people are probably busy this time of the year. Give it a couple of weeks and hopefully things will pick up.

I might have gone completely mad, but maybe we should all try another joint written tournament like FVA League. It would give everyone a chance to compete, and allows anyone still interested in writing the chance to do so without starting a tournament on their own. I don€™t think we should attempt a tournament as large as the original FVA League (something simple like 8-16 bots). But a tournament where 5 or 6 writers can share out battles between them might be what we need to get things going again.

It€™s a crazy idea, but something to think about, maybe?

As far as I'm concerned, I've been relativly busy this month, plus I don't care for this new forum, it seems a lot more complicated than the dearly departed old one. Plus I can never work out who people are anymore due to the names thing. If some tournaments got going, I'd be sure to enter.

Someone always necro's the fanfic section, it's died so many times, yet someone always raises it from the dead for a short period of time.

OT: Embrace some change Alex, the new forums are easy to use I do agree on the user names being a bit confusing, but people can request to have their username changed (PM Kane), there is also the Name and Signature sections you can change in your profile.
