«Wedge Devolution vs. The May Tracks Has You vs. Wedginator 6.0 vs. Wedga€™s Revenge»

Pfft Well from memory I am the only one in this match that has 360o of skirting, which should help a little. I also believe I am the most powerful flipper in this match, which is a nice bonus. Having a decent drive train should hopefully be another factor to help me out. In a match with four flippers like this, tactics will probably go out the window. But Ill agree to a team up with Kody, first to team up and take out May Tracks. Then we can have a go at Wedge Devo. Whatever the case may be, slide my scoop under them, use my power to push them towards the walls and then throw them out as soon as possible.

    This should be fun!

Welcome one of the most simplistic but effective vapourbots ever! It€™s a low, sleek 4mm Hardox protected wedge, powered by 2 x LEM130€™s for 18hp in the drive! 16mph is the speed, and flipping is its need with the classic rear-hinged flipper design The flipper itself is powered by 2 X 80mm high pressure pneumatic rams, each running at 250psi. This should allow Wedge to comfortably flip up to 1000kg at the tips, and performing high 1.5 to 3ft flips on the opposition is highly likely! The 7mm ground clearance is protected on ALL sides by BioHazard style skirts, and a front extension to get under everything from other extensions to skirts! It can self-right easily, but with only 2kg worth of gas on board, it could run out of power quite early!

When The May Tracks Has You, there is NO escape! A tall box-wedge shape, which is powered by LEM130€™s at 24V, gives 6hp overall, but the traction is put down by inner Vulkalon coated tracks, maximising speed to 20mph and also maximising traction on the slippery arena surface! The 4.5mm Hardox armour all over is tough, and so is the powerful flipper powered by 2 x 500psi rams, but TMTHY also has a pair of upward-facing spikes on the wedge, that mean that once on the flipper, you can€™t reverse off it, as your wheels will get spiked - combined with the almighty flipper, this is sure to vandalise your tyres! Skirts minimise the chances of getting underneath the ground clearance, but can it stand-up to other flippers with ease?

            +1>From Toronto, Canada, Wedginator 6.0!!
            -1>Entered by Kody Kunz
A cross with between a Wedge and the Terminator, this robot has it all - the ability to destroy heavy machinery, and the ability to never die. Wedginator is a specially designed wedge shaped robot, powered by the most frequent of vapourbot power housings - the 2 x LEM130 at 36V, 18hp, and 24mph! The way the weapon works is that the entire 6mm Hardox armour is tilted, making it a near Full-Body flipper. The front is a front-hinged flipper, and the rear is a rear hinged flipper, but it can only lift 300kg, and flip 175kg, due to the weight of the armour. The front and rear are dead zero, but the sides are 4mm!

            +1>From Bourne, Lincolnshire, Wedga€™s Revenge!!
            -1>Entered by AJ
Wedga is out, and now is back for its rightful revenge! A cut-off wedge with a scoop at the front designed to deflect spinner blows and lead the opponents onto its powerful flipping arm that is hinged at the rear of the robot and rests down the wedge and inside the front scoop so if a spinner hits the front scoop the arm should not be damaged. The flipping arm is 100mm wide and is made of Hardox and is shaped like the scoop at the front so it can flip any robots on the front scoop easily. It is powered by a big 80mm bore 100mm stroke custom-made Aluminium ram. This is pumped with liquid Nitrogen at a pressure of 1000psi contained in two 2.2kg canisters and a 1.1kg buffer tank giving around 35 flips in a fight. This should mean the flipper can produce around 1500kgs of force each flip that should send other robots flying! This is 1000kgs or so more than last time. The action is reversed by a mechanism that acts against the flip, making the set-up safe and possible. This set up can comfortably flip 400kg so any heavyweight class robot should not be too much of a problem. The front scoop/rear skirt and 18hp drive train on 4 Aluminium Hubs Vulkalon treaded tyres are also a great way of ramming robots around the arena and can work well with the flipper for flipping robots out of the arena. The armour and skirts has added nicely to a tough package, with the whole robot made out of 4mm Hardox monocoque, with all the sides slanted to deflect spinner hits, and making the robot near to indestructible from every angle. 4mm Hardox skirts on a rotatary joint which are jointed at the corners make it impossible to get under. What can go wrong? Maybe if it goes against another rammer/flipper.

            Booth #1: Steven M, Frank G
            Booth #2: AJ
            Booth #3: Kody K

            Roboteers, stand by!!!

            3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!

The fastest off the mark here is Wedginator, but May Tracks storms out of nowhere to tackle the Canadian vapour! Wedga and Wedge seem to be lower out, each one trying to reach May Tracks before the opposing force does. Wedge has made it there first, pushing straight underneath the skirts on May Tracks, but in turn, AJ forces Wedga€™s mighty flipper under Wedge! FLIP! Wedge spins in the air, but lands down on his wheels, still able and mobile to push back into May Tracks, and send it flying 1.5ft into the air with a thrust! May Tracks is vulnerable, and Wedginator is after the vulnerable contestant. A worried Frank activates his weapon, and May Tracks slef-rights quickly, but it€™s now on Wedginator€™s flipper! Kody puts the power down, and excorts the All-Star to the arena edge€¦FLIP! Nothing! May Tracks just rolls over! A much more powerful flip has been given to Wedge Devolution by Wedga€™s Revenge! Wedge spun through the air in graceful arcs, landing on its wheels, and spinning around, and thrusting the front wedge underneath that of Wedga€™s Revenge! FLIP! A punch from the flipper rams inside Wedge put the vengeful robot on its back! Steven moves away from attacking Wedga and goes to interfere in the tussell between Wedginator and May Tracks! Wedginator reverses away from the wall, and May Tracks pursues the retreating machine with ease - the two met nose-to-nose, and that rear hindged flipper of May Tracks pushes underneath, and is now using its tracks to shove the mighty Wedginator across the floor! We are near the edge of the ring, and May Tracks fires the flipper€¦NOT QUITE! Wedginator is upside-down now, but that flipper comes into play€¦but it isn€™t quite levering it back upright, BUT INCOMES WEDGE DEVOLUTION! Wedge hits into Wedginator, just as it€™s self-righting, and performs a flip of its own! BANG - Wedginator lands outside the ring in an immobile heap! May Tracks is now on the attack of Wedge, as Wedga comes in to break those May Track skirts! FLIP! Up goes May Tracks, as it lands on top of Wedge, but moves away just as the flipper fires off, but is instead of running away, is running into the skirts of Wedga! Straight under the skirts and the tracked machine is pushing Wedga towards the edge€¦FLIP! Wedga doesn€™t fly too high, but high enough to land OOTA! Its down to the final two robots in this battle - Wedge Devolution and May Tracks! The two quickly slam into each other, but May Tracks is under, and goes into reverse to damage the tyres - a worthy tactic€¦IF HE HADN€™T REVERSED BEFORE WEDGE WAS ON THE FLIPPER! Steven is back on the attack and pushes under now, and up€¦and€¦OVER goes May Tracks! The heavy machine slams down, to sound of venting gas! AND THE MAY TRACKS FLIPPER IS JAMMED OPEN! Wedge Devolution reverses into the centre of the ring and rotates in fantastic, crowning victory! Wedge moves back in, slotting the flipper blade under May Tracks€™ rear€¦FLIP! Out goes May Tracks, as the almighty tracked machine crashes down on top of Wedga and Wedginator! Steven reverses Wedge Devolution into the centre and spins in victory!

            Result:
The May Tracks Has You, Wedga€™s Revenge and Wedginator 6.0 disgrace their All-Star badges!
WEDGE DEVOLUTION GOES THROUGH TO THE ALL-STAR QUARTER FINALS!!

For the next battle, referr to the line-up at the beginning of this post.

...you didnt listen to our tactics, did you? We said to get MAY TRACKS out of the arena, before starting on anyone else.

Not asking for a rewrite, but you should know better by now.
