                    Mechanical Noise - Series 2

Im sorry to come in again, but Ive decided to change again. This is due to the large amount of flippers coming in, I feel that Crusher C.U would be dangerously vulnerable. So I spent the afternoon developing what will give Psyclonised and AJ a tough time throughout this contest. Here it is:

                    GRIZZLY BEAR

                    € WEIGHT: 100KG

                    € ARMOUR: 4MM MONOCUQUE HARDOX

                    € SHAPE: CYLINDER

                    € MOTORS: 2 x LEM 130 AT 46V = 18HP

                    € LOCOMOTION: 6 x VULKALON TREADED WHEELS

                    € DIMENSIONS: (L) 60CM (W) 60CM (H) 40CM

€ COLOUR: LIGHT PINK FOR THE BODY, AND THE BAR IS BLACK WITH THE NAME ON IT. SKIRTS ARE RED AND BLUE

€ WEAPONRY: THIS IS AN INNOVATION ON THE BAR SPINNER - IT€™S A TRANSLATIONAL SPINNER, WITH A BAR REACHING OVER THE TOP. IT WEIGHS 20KG AND HAS 2 x 2.5kg HARDOX WEIGHTS. IT IS DEMONISHLY DESTRCTIVE. THE BAR REACHES DOWN TO ABOUT 20CM OFF THE GROUND.

                    € SPEED: 25MPH

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM - ANOTHER ADDITION IS THE SKIRTS, THEY ARE SPRUNG, AND ALSO HAVE LITTLE TUNGSTEN STEEL SPIKES REACHING OUT 5CM TO GRAB FLIPPERS/EXTENSION PLATES, AND RIP THEM OFF

€ STRENGTH: MY MOST FAVORITE DESIGN

€ WEAKNESS: IF FLIPPED, IT BEATEN!

                    Tough innit

Just to give you a visual concept, the bar is part of the robot and is welded in place. The translational spinning system gives it more speed and weight. The skirts and the spikes mean that if say Spawn Again or another flipper with an extension comes in. Itll try to get under, but the spikes will rip it off

                    Be afriad, be VERY AFRAID

I promise: THIS IS MY FINAL LIST:

                    MeCannibal
                    Great Bite Shark
                    Grizzly Bear
                    Turbulence
                    Merlin
                    Storm 2
                    Hyena
                    Sky Blast

SEE YOU WHEN THE COMPETITION STARTS

                      Its overweight. =P

The LEMs need to go. LEMs really only belong in ramming robots.

Thanks Kody - actully, I need them for the speed aspect of the robot, but thanks anyway.

I dont think a spinner needs much speed, just maneouverability. If its too fast, then itll go out of control. Typhoon 2 IIRC had a 12mph top speed (or was it 8mph?) 25mph is WAAAAAAAY too much. When you get up to that drive speed, and your weapon is up to full spinning speed, gyroscopic tendencies will cause you to end up on your back.

                          Just a pointer.

Typhoon was at 18mph. Look, Kody, Im using a translational spinner system, which Antony Politzi uses for Cyberdemon, which moves at 35mph. I dont plan on making an enemy before we even have a fight (with vapourbots)

Im not trying to either. Im just saying that bots with spinning weapons and fast drive speeds are highly unstable.

can you make a drawing of it? I am inclined to agree with Kody on this one, but i would like to see what you have in mind.
