  • Help with vapour.

As you all know Im absolutely pathetic at making vapourbots so Ive decided to get some help, you see Ive got this idea right and its this.
    Name: D-J (Disc-tructive Jockey)
Shape: A bit like Shredder apart from theres 2 more wheels and theres a flipper/sri-mech.
Weaponry: 2 discs which run on 36V magmotors and can spin up to 36,000 RPM and a flipper on top which is interchangeable because of the words on it theres:
Make Music Not Murder, Make Peace Not Pieces and Make News Not Nuclear.
Power: Runs on 4 36V Magmotors.
    Speed: 21MPH
    Dimensions: Same as Shredders.
Ground Clearence: Front 15mm the rest 20mm.
Wheels: 4 set as Big Nipper.
Srimech: Flipper, can also run each way up.
    Strengths: Got powerful disc speedy.
Weaknesses: Extremely easy to flip because invertable can hit the wheels.

first of all 36,000rpm is unrealistic speed for the discs. I will look at it and come up with something for you either later tonight or tomoro sometime

      Help with vapour.

having read through the stats i dont see how the flipper weapon is going to work with the two discs and the shape of the robot. So in the stats i have come up with i have removed it.

      NAME- D-J (Disc-tructive Jockey)
SHAPE- The shape is essentially the same a Shredder, except it is longer to fit in the extra set of wheels D-J has.
COLOUR- *add this your self tim*
      WEIGHT- 100kg
      SPEED- 18mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm due to tornado style skid steer system
GROUND CLEARANCE- under the discs at the front is 15mm ground clearance, under the actual body at the front and the rest of the way round is 8mm. *if you wish add skirts to the sides and rear to make it 0mm*
      ARMOUR- 5mm titanium
WHEELS- the robot has 8 wheels, although it only runs on for, it is set up in the same way as Big Nipper
      POWER- 2 X 24 volt mag motors
WEAPONS- The robot has two discs, which are horizontal. The discs are horizontally next to each other, much like on Shredder. The discs spin in opposite directions inwards, i.e the one on the left spins clockwise and the one on the right spins anti clockwise, like on Shredder, it does more damage this way. It is powered on 36volt mag-motors spinning the discs at 3000rpm, it takes about 5seconds to spin them up to speed
      SRIMECH- the robot is invertible
      STRENGTHS- *find some*
      WEAKNESSES- *find some*

there is some basic stats for you,

what size are the disks? 5 seconds for 3000 rpm on 36V magmotors is quite a long time.

Thanks Martyn and for your answer its called D-J because the srimech is like that thing on a gramophone which you put on the discs apart from its just above the discs and just pokes out and theyre no skirts and it takes 7 seconds to spin up to full power. The colours Green and the strengths and weaknesses are the same as before.

tim, you can add or take away from the stats in anyway you wish, I am not doing anything else to it. It is up to you to wreck it in anyway you wish

Ive decided to get rid of the sri-mech and just to paint the 4 messages on the 2 sides in Black.

Tim, 7 seconds for any disc (on a heavyweight robot) to get up to full speed is abysmal. I think you should look into this stuff a little more.

Just randomly guessing how fast it spins up isnt a good thing Tim

Umm OK its 63% spin up time is 2 seconds.
