  • Entirely genuine question.

Ive got a lil 7 year old brother who loves RW, and goes to the live events and stuff and really want to join the forum. He designs his own robots out of Knex and stuff and has some pretty good ideas. If he was to start comign on here and wanted to enter these tournaments, hed need help witht he technical side of his stats. If I was to help him, would that be considered an unfair advantage to me by writers. This is an honest question, answeres would be appreciated.

I dont think it would be considered an unfair advantage. Expecting a 7 year old to compete at the same level as everyone else would be unfair though.

        Entirely genuine question.

I more mean it form the point of view that he designs what shape he wants it, what weapon he wants, what he wants it to do. Hes even said before I woudlnt want big motors as its a wedge so it needsless power. He knows his stuff ro a 7 year old. I just meant if I help him type it up, and help him with motors and stuff, is anyone gonna object. Theyre not my designs. I just want to help him make them competitive.

          Entirely genuine question.

Also, after Lore Rose (who is a real person) and Craig Patterson (who wasnt) I wanna make sure people trust that its not me trying to give myself more chance.

Yep. Well if the technical people say yes I would think so then.

                Entirely genuine question.

Right, 1 thing. if hes gonn ahave the same ip address as me, is that gonna disqualify him from registration?

Because I just sent off for him to be registered, I dont want the admin to think of it as a joke registrtion. He really is beocmign very interested in the technical side of robots and I want to give him the best chance to be able to build one for real in a few years time and I think that thsi would be a good platform and help him learn the trade for when hes ready.

                Regards,
                MW

If you tell them before hand, I cant see them minding. I wouldnt have a problem with it either, if he starts entering Aaron level bots I might get slightly suspicious though, lol.

                    Entirely genuine question.

I cant really say more than what Alex just said.

It would be a good idea to tell him who everybody is, though, just so that hes prepared.
