  • Evil Weevil

I was just watching a vid of RW series 4 again. I remember being disappointed when they lost power without doing anything, because I thought the sledge hammer combo with the lifters was interesting, and it was neat to have a sort of rival Panic Attack variant even if it was never as good as the original. The series 4 version had this nice edible looking caramel color.

Did Evil Weevil ever compete in live events around that time? Was the hammer actually any good? What happened to the robot in the end? There was never a series 5 version because Kevin Pritchard went back to Panic Attack, of course.

I doubt it did. Evil Weevil looked like a fairly average robot and even if they had charged their batteries, I doubt it would have been enough to beat Mousetrap or Tiberius. Also I'm pretty sure the spikes were static in this series.

No, they were still lifters. They might have been able to tip Tiberius over (no self-righter), and the forks probably would have created trouble for Mousetrap too (?). Definitely an average robot, but so was everything in that Heat back then.

This was the best part, but Phillipa didn't tell Julia Reed to say it sadly.
