Ewe 2 won easily, even without the flipper. I have been impressed with Ewe 2 at all the events its attended, i was unsure about its design at the start but its proved me (and a few others) wrong. Well done Ian and scott.
Ewe 2 lost a panel of polycarbonate & a panel of aluminium in that fight (they never got that part back!!). I dont want to pick a fight & Im sorry if I was a TAD harsh. Ewe 2 will be seen later in the series in the Annhilator & will be at Ironbridge in March (fighting on the Sunday). Good luck in future wars for Ewe 2. Hope it does better.
From our point of view it was a weird experience.......at the end of the fight we did a victory spin and then walked to the booth to be declared winners by Craig.
He then said Both robots were still moving , we will have to go to the judges.
I thought...Oh yeah, i suppose they were moving, but only just. Oh, well. It never even entered my head that we were going to loose.
Craig then declared Tetanus Booster the winner! I was gutted and amazed...but I think only the gutted bit came across on TV.
The look on the Tetanus team faces after the interview was a give away.......they knew they had been extremely lucky.
Its true that a lot of stuff was edited out...including our aluminium panel being ripped off by what was a very effective Tetanus spinner. But at the end of the day if you leave it to the judges you always stand the chance of being disappointed.
If I had sorted out my pneumatics properly I would not have been in that position anyway, and may have won.
