Morning all,
I've taken a slight break from robots since I got a bit interested in modifying NERF guns. A simple google on the topic will show you what it's all about!
The gun I'd like to modify uses electric flywheels to propels the darts so my natural reaction is to put in the fastest possible brushless motors that seem suitable, which should see more than slightly better performance than the stock set-up. However, to do this you need a new 3d printed motor and flywheel mount aka a motor cage, and I've found a suitable one on thingiverse which is perfect but its motor bolt pattern is for a specific 2205 motor whereas I'm planning to use some 1306 4000kv motors I've already got. Essentially all this requires is filling in the old mounting holes in the 3d model and creating new ones but this is completely beyond my complete lack of expertise, plus when I try to import the file into fusion 360 it becomes a mesh which I can't convert into a solid shape? Therefore is there anyone on the forum that's willing and able to help me with this? After I've printed and tested it, I'd then want to reupload to thingiverse as a remix of the original if whoever modified it was in agreement.
Cheers
Dan
