This looks interesting. We have Black & Blue, Blazer, Falcon, ANOther, Steel Sandwich and Spin Doctor. If I remember correctly, black and blue was a heavyweight clusterbot of two 50 kg components, Black and Blue. I think they were armed with a spining drum each. So are they both showing up or just one? Does anyone know anything about Falcon, ANOther or Spin Doctor?
This is almost as good good a middleweight turnout as at Extreme II, where there were 8 and it is a lot better than the 7th Wars where there were only 3. Too bad that Typhoon cant make it.
Well yes we wont be taking part in the middleweight contest this year. After much thought we have decided to retire typhoon. Our reasons?
It was 3 years old, and hadnt had a proper update in a good while.
We would rather go out on a high (3 years winners).
We thought we would concentrate on our newest additions to the family (cdt and typhoon2)
Well it has been fun battling the middleweights and I would like to thank everyone for all the good battles we have had. I may return in the future once i have left team typhoon due to cadet age restrictions wiht my own creation but time will tell.
Thanks for posting the links to Falcon and spin doctor. I see on the Falcon website they describe themselves as weighing 120 lbs - about 4.5 kg over the FRA weight limit. I trust they can get the weight down. Its great that two such powerful looking robots are coming over from the US. It should make for a great middleweight competition.
Does anyone know if you can still enter a middle at the WC ?. With a bit of hard work and componant changes I think I can adapt the heavy but dont want to go to the trouble if its too late.
