    FRA World Championships

Kyle was very unsure about Phoenix, something to do with having a real life, whatever that is!

The horrid spinning metal lampshade will be there, I have no doubt.

The only ones who have posted here to say they are coming are Julian (robot name unknown), Blazer and Steel Sandwich. If there is anyone else who has applied, and received a confirmation email, I suggest they post below so we can all see who is coming.

Having not entered the Mouse for the heavyweight competition, I might set about the chassis with the drill and see if I can get it down to 50kg.

At Technogames4 it weighed in at 55kg, but it didnt have the front blade on. I will not enter formally until I am certain I can make the weight.

Ive had a succession of family disasters over the last few months to the effect that the only way to be able to attend the World Championships is to switch to plan B. The gas flipper will have to wait until next time and the ill fated Broadsword 2 will have to fill in as Broadsword III, the bits of Broadsword that Shunt didnt bust at Extreme 2 plus a rethoughtout design of the bits that Shunt did. Im disappointed that I couldnt give the new machine my full attention but there are certain events which should only happen every so often in life and the arrival of the fourth of these events in six months, following on a fortnight after the third, really has thrown a spanner in the works.

Broadsword III will be fun still, especially at 36v. 2.4 kW of drive power in a middleweight.

Lifestylewise, I should hit clear water sometime in September.

Well, just make it the toughest you can. My advice, though laymans like, is design to beat Mad Dog. Horrible horrible ICE spinner. If you can take a hit, and keep coming back at him, youll be laughing.

Falcon, the drumbot, is mean as well. Is Broadsword invertable?

                      Good luck!

Yep Mad Dog is all ready to kick some UK ass (thats Brians quote not mine) and looking quite mean with some new mods and now weighing in at around 46Kg (afaik). Also just to add insult to injury the team hopes that Mad Dog will survive so he can challeng some of the UK heavyweights with it as well!
