Sounds stupid, but how many kg of force do the big flippers on the live circuit put out at the minute? (IronAwe, Ripper, TR2 and others.) I mean this with reference to the gas ram not so much the force at the end of the ram.

Force for a lifter

Most use a 100mm bore ram. And that produces 5x5xPix55 kg of force. Give or take 4 tons.
Mechanical leverage combined with stroke will dictate the amount of lifting power on the flipperedge over a certain powered distance.
Flow is the factor that will make the opponent bowl over or fly away,

In a similar, slightly related vein: what kind of force is needed for a front-hinged device to simply turn over an opponent rather than hurl them about? And how much would it weigh? I just think it'd be interesting to combine a weapon like that with something like an axe or vertical crusher so you could attack the baseplate of an opponent. Do tell me if (like most of my ideas) this is inefficient and/or a bit rubbish. =]
