  • Motor and Wheel Question

I was wondering is it possible to us the Ampflow A28-400 with gear reducer or even the NPC T64 with any of these wheels?:http://www.robotmarketplace.com/carefree-tires.aspx

I was also wondering would the Ampflow A28-150 work in a heavyweight?

I believe (if the team Danby website is to be trusted) that Foxic runs on 4 A28-150s. So they should work fine in a heavyweight.
As for the wheels, I'd assume with the right wheel hub they could be used. I'm sure someone with more experience can give you a better answer on that one.

ampflow offer a prebuilt solution, with motor, gearbox, and a selection of available wheels available as a package...

Sort of off topic, I have thought about using NPC T64 motors with 14" wheels, I was wondering would I be wasting money on a Vantec Speed Controller?

Vantecs ain't wasted money, but it's a lot compared to other options. Those are about the oldest well proven ESC's around.
          4QD had several generations already.

I am looking at this Vantec (http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-rdfr23f.html) I was wondering if this is going to work?

It's pretty low on the current handling side of things for a heavyweight. 20A continuous with peaks of 70A. That's closer to some featherweight ESC specs. I run Coyote on two 24V 800W scooter motors and use a Vantec 47E, which is 80A continuous and 220A peak, though that was down to getting a second hand one for a good price. If I was to buy brand new, I'd maybe look at something lower range.

A Ragebridge controller would be a better and cheaper option compared to the 23F, at least for NPC drives. Can't comment on its use with Ampflows though.
