  • Housing ESC and Lipos components

    Hi,

Was wondering the best way to house my rage bridge with my robot. I have a rage in a box, so i have the fan with it to keep it cool, but obviously restricting it by putting it in something could cause it to potential over heat. Would love to hear some recommended suggestions.

Also for Lipo batteries, what are the best ways to keep them in place and keep them safe whilst being knocked around?

These are my expensive components so I want to add as much protection as possible without overheating/damaging them.

    Thanks

I mummify my batteries in packaging foam in my FW, and my ESCs to a lesser extent (because of cooling). I think most HWs just have their ESCs on a shock-mounted plate somewhere inside. Never built a heavy myself though, so I could be missing something.

In Bullfrog, the ESC and LiPo's are shock mounted. The ESC directly on the case with an ali bracket, the LiPo's have an ali box to keep them where they should be.

          Aluminium box for the LiPo's.
A bracket is a support that helps mounting annoying shapes.

LOL. ali = Aluminium. I thought "ali" was a specialized model type or something for a box/bracket. That cleared that up.
