I do like the 24v 800w iskras. 2.5kg, solid with no holes to speak of and terminals to hook up to. Smaller than a bosch 750. Shame they are over £200 new.

Ellis components are selling the 750w Movimotor as a Bosch replacement for about 95 quid. Looks like quite a strong unit with the exception of the Cast end caps. Shouldn't be to much of a problem though as long as the motor body is well secured to the chassis.

I didn't run them at all. I just handled them a bit.
And, no, it isn't a good idea to run them at 50V. That's double the rated voltage. It's been a rule of tumb since the start of RW that overvolting more than 1.5x will result in broken motors.Comment

LOL, I know - ive done it with a GPA to see how much abuse it would take, quite a lot as it turned out - Makes lots of smoke though :-)Comment
