I have a question. Im not good with motors or pressure systems. What stuff would you use for a weapon for a heavyweight?

    Im be happy to help.

For flippers: You should either use a nitrogen, a CO2, or a HPA (high pressure air) tank for a rear-hinged flipper (mostly recommended for beginners is a CO2 tank). For a front-hinged flipper, use a pneumatic air cylinder or one of the above.

For spinning weapons: LEM 130s, LEM 200s, and S28-400 MagMotors are your best bet here. (use the LEM 130 as a start)

For axes and hammers: Again, use a pneumatic air cylinder. (learned this from Martyn, thanks)

For lifting arms, pincers, crushers, and forks: Hydraulics work best here. Dont overdo it, though, or youll risk self-destruction.

For regular drivetrains: (hee hee, had to add this one) Here are some motors you can use...

MagMotors(for heavyweights, use the C40 series. Theyre good enough for heavyweights)

AstroFlights (DONT set these on 48v, or youll kill yourself)

Bosch (the 750 and 900 work best here, use the 750 as a recommendation)

AC motors (dont try and use these, actually. Youll get mad )

Clover, the basic rule for a starting roboteer.

Read all the sites you can find from the roboteers.
Dont be afraid to mail roboteers. Most are perfectly willing to share there knowledge.

And, be prepared, it is an expensive hobby to start. Especialy the heavyweights.
